Do any of you get the feeling that someone who knows you doesn't believe you're gay?

Perhaps one of them, but hey, I came out, it's her problem if she doesn't believe me

    All... the god damn... time.

Doesn't really matter though, once you've been your true gay self for a bit, they'll catch on lol

I would say that a lot of people doubt me being actually bisexual and that I'm just attention seeking. But honestly, if they knew how stressful coming out was, they wouldn't doubt me

My mom always says something along the lines "you're supposedly gay/you think you're gay". So, I guess I have to shag a dude right in front of her to actually prove to her that I am gay? Le sigh...

My dad. The only person I've come out to and he wouldn't believe me at first, thought "it's a phase" or that "i'm confused" and so on... had to talk to him again. He wouldn't believe I've been attracted to women since I was like 5 years old.... sure, is just a phase which has been lasting over two decades, yeah, i'm just confused. Just because I've been very very quiet about it specially at home, but for some reason my peers catched on it and would bully me for 4 years in the school because of how evident it was for them that I liked girls.
At least he is accepting it more.

I wonder how other people that I care for will behave once I tell them, that if I decide to do so or just let them notice on their own, but I'm almost sure some relatives won't talk to me again. I hope I'd be wrong.

I'm pretty positive that I have quite a few classmates. Part of it being that I was just a super good actor when I was hiding. Seriously though. I'm with goldenarrow. If they knew how stressful it is, they wouldn't doubt us, cause we wouldn't go through all that for nothing, right.

You are not the only one. When family don't believe you, they are in denial I guess. I had this friend, I said I was gay, but she keeps pairing me with guys, it seems it's a joke for her or she thinks everyone is like her, by that I mean boy crazy.... ughh.

I haven't officially come out to anyone but I suspect it's going to be something I face a LOT when I do. Everybody I know has assumed I'm straight because I guess I'm a girly girl (which obviously doesn't mean you're necessarily straight but hey, stereotypes..). I TRIED telling a couple of people including my dad that I was gay and he literally laughed at me and assumed I was joking. So

My friend thought I pulled one of my famous non sequiturs about being bi until I solemnly assured him that I wasn't kidding. Seriously doubt my dad believes me...

My mother thinks that it's either a phase, or that I'm just saying that to get attention from all the boys. She said she's surprised I haven't gotten pregnant. Hmm, pretty sure I'm not the one that was sleeping around at my age. Buuut that's none of my business.

Well, my grandma believes that there's still a 50% chance that I'll marry a girl, and she's really hoping for that. I do think she understands I'm a 'bisexual'(haven't bothered explaining pan/queer) though.

Yeah , but they told me they don't believe me to my face they said I'm too girly to be a lesbian .
My friends still suggest sleeping with guys, yesterday my friend asked if I would do a 3some with a guy and a girl , I said no I'm not attracted to men so I wouldn't do 3somes with both sexes .

Trust me, tons of my friends think so. Basically because I'm not the stereotype they believe, I'm too masculine and a womanizer. But I'm still gay, so it's their problem if they think I'm bisexual or not. I'm gay, I told them I was gay, I have no reason to lie and I'm not confused.
