    I feel like we should be able to do whatever we want and if we consciously took a decisions to do both of those things then it's our choice. Sure there is a age limit for watching porn... so what? I watched porn the very first time because I felt horny, so obviously I was ready.

    I don't really care. If someone seeks out porn, then it seems pretty likely they're interested. Sure, porn is inaccurate, but the alternative is usually a dead silence on the subject of sex. Let kids and teens do what they like. It isn't hurting anyone.

    And don't even get me started on masturbation. Firstly, how on earth would you enforce a law? Secondly, how in the world could it be ethical to prevent (and thus, punish when it happens) kids or teens from exploring their bodies?

    According to the NHS (who I trust), most people will masturbate as children because it it pleasurable and not even realising that it is sexual. What you heard was likely a gross exaggeration of that, but I wouldn't disregard it completely.

    There's emerging concern that early exposure to porn may have negative impact on development of healthy relationships and expectations, but there's no consensus on that issue yet.

    I do think that watching porn at an early age tends to be habit-forming (meaning, you start masturbating to porn and so you condition yourself that you can *only* masturbate to porn). And that's not a good idea for a whole bunch of reasons.

    As far as masturbating, there's no indication that masturbating before a certain age is in any way unhealthy. It's natural and pleasurable and should not be anything to be uncomfortable about or ashamed of.
