I had a CD collection of various pop female artists and it's fading away because I'm selling many of them, I realized that people actually buy those things in a heartbeat so I'm thinking about selling them all even my most valuable ones

Today I made good money by selling only a couple what if I sell my entire collection? I'm very attached to it so I'm hesitating but I would make very good money and keep it for the future :eusa_naug

I say, if you really need the money, then do it, but if l you're good on money then don't sell the ones you treasure most, but sell the ones you don't care as much for, because who doesn't like some extra pocket money?

It's not that I don't care, even today it hurt to get rid of some of them :tears: but they're not so rare so hopefully when I become a millinaire I will buy them because they're relatively easy to find again :smilewave

Rip them onto iTunes then sell them. You'll still have the music.

Well rip the music first, obviously. Then there's no point keeping them.

Put all the music on your computer then sell them, that way you keep the music, get money and can buy me candy. ^^

This. I could never sell my entire collection. D: A few albums that I don't like that much anymore for money, sure... I mean... I could use that money to buy new albums that I currently like.

    "no point keeping them"

I think it is up to you how attached you are to them.. As people have mentioned.. You can always put the music on computer and then sell them so you still have a copy of the music..

Like the kind girl above me mentioned, it depends on how attached you are to those CDs. What memories and sentimental value do you have with them, and do those outweigh the money that you'd earn by selling those? I think that if money is a very big concern for you right now and you're that desperate, then go ahead and sell them. I sell things all the time on Amazon on Ebay, partly for the same reasons, in that I need some quick cash and I won't be receiving any income for a very long time.

Rip them first, then sell them. If you like to listen to them in the car you can burn some CDs

sever yourself from human emotions and attachments by selling the cds, and your every posession. this is true enlightenment.

but think, if you ever get in a car with a cd player and no usb port what will you listen to? especially in the future when radio is DEAD

I felt the same way about my textbooks until I realized that I could make $320 bucks off of selling them, so I did.

    NO.

Ripped copies aren't the same quality. I still like CD quality sound over MP3 because MP3 is compressed and lossy. I actually just bought two Rammstein cds (Mutter and Sehnsucht) because my digital rips were low quality and lacked the clarity I was looking for. The cds sound amazing and I'm glad I bought them.

    Don't sell them.

    No.
Speaking from my own point of view: every record you ever bought must mean something to you, or you wouldn't have bought it in the first place. I think you might regret selling them and going for the easy money.

To people saying "rip it": I own a lot of physical copies of albums (on both vinyl and cd) and I also have them in iTunes, but it's so much nicer to physically play music you love. It's just not the same. But I'm pretty much obsessed with stuff like this
