I was scammed out of thousands by my online lovers Dear fellow ec members, this is the story of a straight guy who got scammed out of thousands by 'online lovers' who promised real love, but were completely and shamelessly deceptive. If, like me, you are lonely, and are considering Internet dating, maybe be on guard, because it seems there are folks out there willing to prey on others' loneliness and wish for companionship, to make money. An except: If you read the entire story you might feel as I did, that this guy really was quite foolish to fall for such scams three times in a row (with three different scammers), but I'm just posting this, in the hope that no-one here falls for such a scam even once.
