Default Pahlin and war

The Republican vice presidental candadate seems very much delusional in that in her words were '' iraq was a god given mission'' and now she says that the us would protect georgia even if it meant going to war with russia and then she goes on about american incursions into pakistan not giving a clear answer, just alot of double speak.
It seems this Republican governer of Alaska has big plans over the us military.
I wonder how many new wars will be started if MacCain and pahlin get elected in november.

Of the two lead candidates, McCain seems to me like the type of person who would start World War 3, declare it "in the best interests of the people", and then drag it on for twenty years until nukes start flying. Either one is capable of starting a war, though. McCain just feels like he would be quicker to jump the gun.

Well let's try to avoid all that by electing Barack Obama as the next president. We don't need 4 more years of the same (or worse!).

Palin, on top of all the other things I despise about her, seems like a war monger.

Many also think McCain is a war monger. Maybe the whole Republican Party is...?

I think this election will come down to the debates. The interview with Palin was her first interview. It will be interesting to see how she does in subsequent interviews. In most elections, the pick of the VP did not make a difference in the outcome of the elections.

True, but I think this one may be different. My brothers who have never been into politics are voting for the McCain/Palin ticket simply because she can bag a caribou. No joking! It makes me sick. I love my brothers but sometimes I don't think we have the same blood running through our veins.

One of Obama's ads has Republicans who are voting for Obama. One of the women talks about how her entire family always voted Republican, no matter what, and when she got married, her father told her husband that he now had to vote Republican. It got to the point where she stopped looking at the issues and didn't even read the tags, just went in and started flipping all the switches to the Republican end.

I know there are Democrats who do that, but the Republican counterparts seem to get more screentime.

^ A caribou is just another name for a reindeer. Lots of them live in Alaska and I'm pretty positive that they make up at least 4000 of the 7000 that live in Wasilla (the city that Palin was mayor of).

aw, HELL no. i think shes ugly. and a bitch. a MAJOR bitch.

my friend actually wrote a haiku about her. "bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch/bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch/bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch".

she said that the war is Gods will? our government is NOT theocratic. the people we are suppossed to be fighting against said the same exact thing when they attacked our soil. bringing God into a democrac is one thing, but saying that a war is being fought in his name is another.

do NOT get me started on this lady and her so-called"feminism".

All of my friends are voting republican. I keep trying to present them with facts about the political stances of Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin but none of them seem to care. I don't understand why. To me, choosing Obama just seems more logical.

I totally agree with you on her so-called "feminism". I'm a man and I'm more of a feminist than she'll ever be.

The problem with Palin is that she's extremely charismatic, it's very easy to believe that what she says is good because of how appealing her charisma makes her. Heck, I'm one of the most liberal people in this area (and I live in SWEDEN) and I've found myself strongly affected by her. Some people would believe her if she told them that there are four Tuesdays in a week.
Along with 75% of my fellow Swedes I just hope that we get a democrat as the next American President.
