If I'm genderfluid and I think of myself as a woman most of the time and I like boys, you could say that I'm straight instead of gay?

It's just something stuck IN my mind in recent days

I would say that if you're genderfluid, the best description of your sexuality would probably be androsexual or queer.

given your other topic.... are you having issues identifying as gay? like discomfort with it?

Unless you're binary trans, I'd stick with androphilic, or gay.

No, in the other topic I'm being biased, based on bitter experiences of the past and I already admitted those were cognitive distortions

But if I identify more as a woman that means I'm straight most of the time and gay when I think of myself as a man?

    ---------- Post added 25th Aug 2014 at 10:20 PM ----------

why only binary people can identify themselves as straight?

work through the cognitive distortions before tackling this imo, prez had some good questions and i think the #truthbombs that could be drawn from those answers might help with your anxieties and stresses

I'm not saying you can't, or shouldn't, especially since I know of other non-binaries who will explain their sexuality as something like, "gay when in guy mode, straight when in girl mode," but for me, that makes things more complicated.

A trans woman who is into men would be considered straight by most people (bigots aside, who can't tell the difference between gender and sexuality), as the way she identifies, expresses herself, and relates to men would be different than how another man would.

I'd like to think I'm somewhere in-between these two scenarios...

No because they didn't make an indication they like both genders. Unless I read something wrong here

I would think gay when in guy mode and straight when in girl mode should mean bi because your ok with going in either sex depending on your mode . I really don't get how that doesn't make them bi ?
Not saying this is all bisexuals but I know not all bisexuals want both at the same time .
