Something i thought about after a conversation with a friend. Why do some lesbians and straight guys enjoy watching same sex porn between two men?, how can people fantasize about impossible thing they have never seen in real life? Why do sometimes, perfectly peaceful and empathic people enjoy watching gore? How can some get aroused on the idea of rape( either receiving it/giving it) , while they hate when it happens in real life? Why is causing havoc in grand thef auto so exhilarating? Why do we go to a theater to get scared with an horror movie? Maybe rules of the fantasy world differ from those in the real world, maybe it is that fantasies of awakened hours are as full of metaphors and hiperboles as the dreams we have when we sleep, maybe they mean something, and the meaning is not obvious, the misterious wordless words of our subconscious, blind images, loud silences. Maybe is human curiosity, a way of exploring new feelings and emotions without being in real risk, without having to feel any guilt. Or it might just be how we exercise our ancient primal parts of the brain, those we share with snakes and crocodiles, the limbic system. We break rules, we get outside the routine, we reach catharsis. Its a way of resting of yourself, i mean, i have always been me, im always me, i'm always going to be me, so its nice to be something completely different for a little while. And you ? Yes the subconcious is clearly participating in this, and they dont reflect literaly what you want.
