    Hey,

Is it just me when im angry or annoyed
    Or even really excited..
My accent becomes very strong in bursts
Or when I "drink" my accent becomes stronger

Does this happen to any of you?

I don't believe so. I don't have a regional accent, so it would be pretty difficult.

Not me personally. One of my friends whenever she phoned her grandparents (on her cellphone at school), her accent got a lot thicker (she was still speaking English). Then another guy's accent sometimes got worse when he got nervous

My English dialect is pretty standard North American dialect, but very very occasionally a bit of southern twang will slip out.

I'm not proud of it. Haha

In Japanese when I'm feeling really energetic, or really pissed off, my standard accent turns into strong Osaka speech..

That's what I get from watching too much Gaki no tsukai back when I was still learning. Haha

My native language is not English, but I always have a slight accents. It's more obvious amongst friends, but that's not an emotion. So to answer the question: no.

    This happens to me sometimes!

My first language is French and while I don't think I have a noticeable accent in English, when I'm speaking French and I'm particularly angry or I'm around my dad's side of the family, the accent I grew speaking comes out. My accent has changed a bit since I moved elsewhere in my province, mostly just my pronunciation of certain words and different slang terms, so my old accent does show up unexpectedly sometimes.

Also, when I'm using English, the voice in my head and the words that come from my hands are very British-influenced (from TV, movies and books, since I tend to prefer British media than American, and Canadian media seems non-existent), so my "written accent" can slip into that when I'm not paying attention.

Oh, Lord, yes. My accent goes all over the place.

I have noticed that my accent changes when I am in several "moods" or "modes," including:

    -Professor/didactic voice
    -Happy voice
-Prim and proper and "happy" (read: I took a Xanax) (when dealing with people/outsiders)
    -Pissed off voice
    -Drunk/tired voice

We should do a thread where we try to show off and record our speech based on various emotions .

I'm bilingual, and strangely enough, when I'm thinking in Hungarian, I have a Hungarian accent, even though I never have it otherwise, as I learned English at the same time as Hungarian and now speak it better (as I only speak Hungarian with my family).

I don't really have an accent when I speak any of the three languages that I'm fluent in so the answer to your question would be no, I don't.

I don't really have much of an accent, a very plain voice but it has let me imitate other accents pretty well. Sometimes though I accidentally slip into other accents though when talking with someone which sometimes draws awkward stares. When I'm angry or sad, no telling what might come out.

I thought I didn't have an accent as such but earlier my friends told me that they could tell I was Northern when laughing hysterically and shortly after.

When I get pissed off, apparently I sound Scottish... I suppose that is a complement.

When I'm tired or drunk, my accent gets stronger. Also, apparently when my friends make fun of my accent (jokingly, of course) and I'm trying to make it go away so they stop. I can't win.

I don't think so. I think growing up in Oklahoma and having parents from India, the accents all cancelled out.

In English, my accent is invariably (not very strong) Australian. When I yell, it's indistinguishable with a generic SE English accent, but I rarely yell. When I'm being whimsical or really informal, I put on a rhotic accent, but most of the time I have silent "Rs" where they're not needed.

In Spanish, I can put on an generic South American accent when I want to be proper, but most of the time (and when I'm nervous/tired) I end up speaking with my strong Zaragoza accent, which I detest.
