So I'm watching my favorite your über markiplier and was wondering if u could get a heart attack or something from being scared from the jump scares? Friend of mine said yes but I'm not really sure I believe him lol so I thought I'd ask youw onderful people! :icon_bigg Am I in any danger whatsoever from watching horror lets plays?
At your age, I don't think so. However, I think older people who are not in as good of health and have more vulnerable systems have had heart attacks before... Don't take my word for it, though.
Yea true and I would also think if it could happen then how come the you tubers who do this for a living haven't had one? Considering there playin the game itself and such lol
Very unlikely but still possible. Anything which makes your heart speed up too fast can give you a heart attack. I wouldnt worry though, like you said, its not like you hear it on the news everysay lol.
See: Acute Stress Reaction I would guess that people with heart conditions or simply old age are more likely to suffer a heart attack from the constriction of blood vessels caused by Acute Stress Reaction because of weaker blood vessels but do not and I repeat do not take what I say as fact, it is merely a thought. You are probably very unlikely to have a heart attack from watching videos at your age however.
It might be something to worry about when you're well in to your 90s and have recently suffered your fifth heart attack. Right now I doubt it.
Is it possible? Yes. But as others have said, generally only if you already have a severely compromised cardiovascular system to begin with.
