If you could witness one event in history, which event would it be?

I'd love to see the eruption of Vesuvius, personally Although I think I'd like to get there a few days before so I could check out what kind of culture was on Pompeii at the time ^_^

 

I would want to see what killed the dinosaurs.......

As time consuming as it was, I would love to witness the first ever photograph being taken.

 

Honestly the past sort of sucked. People would probably stone me to death or something. However if at all possible I'd like to go forward in time and see major scientific breakthroughs, like whichever branch of string theory is the right one being proven. Or cold fusion. Or maybe I would want to visit a space colony on a distant planet.

Well I don't think it would be defined as one event, but witnessing Sappho write her poetry would be pretty darn nifty. There is so much that was lost.

 

I will probably get looked down on for this but.. I would like to have witnessed the holocaust just so that I could plan a way to assassinate hitler.

Also.. I would LOVE to be around when the bible was written.. But only for a short period of time because I would probably end up having sex with one of the girls in the group. And then get killed for it. I just want to sit there and laugh at how ridiculous and stoned off ancient chemicals those people must have been when they wrote it.

I would probably like to go back in time to the Anita Cobby murder case that took place in Australia a long time ago just so that I could save her. I would have loved to have run over every man that did those sick things to her. I would probably bash them to a bloody pulp. No Doubt. I cried the first time I read/watched a video about what happened to her. I have every right to have hatred burning to my corr for those sick fucks that hurt her. She didn't deserve any of it. If I ever met the fuckers I would definitely have every intention of getting a group of men to rape them and murder them one by one. Just like what they did to Anita.

Call me a goofball, but probably one of the debates for American independence in 1776. There are other places and periods in history I am far more interested in, but the tension present in the room and the knowledge of how extremely wide-reaching the decision would prove sounds incredible.
