I feel ashamed to be muslim now I'm in tears muslim men raped white girls

Their actions are their own. You are only responsible for your own actions.

Almost any group has individuals who are guilty of crimes.

 

Rosepetal, every religion has it's share of people who fail to adhere to the most basic human values of love, respect and decency. When I read this on this forum about (so called) Christian parents rejecting and psychologically damaging their kids, I'm appalled. As a Christian myself, I cannot condone their actions which are entirely contrary to everything I understand and believe. However, I will not soak up shame and guilt for their hatred and ignorance - they can answer for themselves.

Fanatical maniacs in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan and sexual predators in Rotherham, England cannot be taken as representative of all Muslims. The shame is on them for their actions, not on you. They will have to answer for their crimes.

 

Some people are giving Islam a bad name so you can try to give it a good name by being a good person. The acts of the few do not define the many despite how much attention they get, it is in part the world we live in, the news will not talk about the nice people such as you as no one will want to read it, I imagine and I hope this is the smallest amount of well any group in the world that acts like that.

 

They're not Muslims.. They just use it as a identity, I doubt they care about the religion.. I've seen so many "Muslims" who drink and smoke and all sorts, and they didn't care at all.

It's not you're fault don't worry!

^This is because I always feel really sad whenever I see things like this on the news, and think to myself that one general group of probably very nice, good people is getting tainted by those who go around using religion as an excuse to create chaos. It's desperately sad. I really feel for you.

 

You don't have to be ashamed by association, every race has stuff like that. I'm white and historically we've oppressed people and kept slaves.

 

People who think all Muslims are the same had better think that all Christians are exactly like the Westboro Baptist Church. You are not accountable for what others do. Only yourself. You are not to blame for all of your religion an it's past. If that were the case, all the Catholics and other Christians would have a lot to answer to.

 

Most Muslims condemn such things - the majority are not rapists, so don't worry. It's like Catholic priests who rape little boys - they're not representative of the wider religion.

 

It's ok don't worry, I don't know you very well, but you are a great woman and you shouldn't be ashamed, because of what a couple people did. You must be a amazing person, because then you wouldn't be worrying about this you are, once again a lovely individual

 

The word (or concept) Muslim, when it is translated into English, is generally translated as "one who submits to God." Does that sound anything like these men? These people may say they are Muslims, but they lie--they are not Muslims. As a Muslim I suspect that in your heart of hearts you know this. You need feel no guilt on their behalf--they don't represent you, they can't even honestly claim association with you.

 

As a muslim myself i say shame on them not on me
dont be ashamed where i live queens (very femme guys like me) get raped and or beaten by muslim men I heard a lot of stories but im not ashamed of myself cause i know that they are just using the islam as an excuse to their acts
being a muslim means peace to everyone around you raping beating or even bullying people cause you think they arent follwing the relgion the way you think is right means they are not a real muslim they are just stupid people why bother think about them or even look at them
My dad calls black people the slaves he is a muslim too but i know he is stupid too
