What if the world is Full of us Gays?

The rare straight people would be told that they were weird, repulsive, strange, queer, etc. They'd be very much so discriminated against by the majority, in some cases even getting sent away to "camps" or given "conversation therapy" to make them "think correctly."

In short, nothing would be different. Still a majority oppressing a minority. Oh yeah, and bisexuality would still not exist :rolle:.


Oh and the number of gay people is not increasing, merely the number that are willing to be open about it.

with medical and science advancements, i guess reproducing wouldn't be too much of a problem. i'm generalizing on that statement so don't take it too much into account. i wouldn't say the balance would be thrown over anytime soon. there's still a few of us even if we all were to come out the closet. i think what she really means to say is that the number of gays willing to be more open about it are increasing. to say that gays are increasing more often just because it seems more normal is a misunderstanding.

I don't believe that the percentage of LGB people is increasing, but the tolerance for those individuals is most certainly; Thus more people are not afraid to be who they really are and not hide it. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's just my view.

Can't imagine it happening at all.. If it really did.. Then perhaps humans would die out quicker as m/m and f/f can't reproduce on their own, so we still need straight couples or men and women wether they were straight or not to help reproduce.

 

Me too. That might happen. Although there should not be any hatred towards any orientation.

 

What if the world wasn't so perpetually hung up about sex and who people have it with? If it was just something as insignificant and casual as shaking hands or having a conversation together?

99% of the population are embarrassed to even look at each other without all our clothes on, so it is no surprise that being gay has been a Big Deal in our hung-up culture.

And also, would population growth slow to almost nothing, comparatively speaking? I mean gays can have kids now, but that's such a small percentage compared to heterosexual breeders as to be almost negligible.

I would LOVE to see that happen, but only to homophobic people. Imagine being a homophobic person and waking up in a universe like this, where everyone calls you names and bullies you and laughs at you for your sexual orientation/gender/etc. That motherf**ker will feel the pain we feel.
