I told a couple of friends I was interested in another girl when I was about 15, but the first person I actually told "I'm gay" was my sister, not long after that, I was about 15 or 16.

I told one of my best friends from the 8th grade first.
I was a freshman in highschool when i told him though. The main reason I told him i guess was just to see how people i actually knew would react to it. I didn't have to worry about seeing him if he reacted badly though, becuase we lived on different sides of towns and went to different highschools. Well he was great about it, but he was totaly caught by surprise, because of stereotypes and all.

Well im completely out, except to my extended family and my dad. Well I never directly told him, but my siblings have, but he doesn't seem to be aknowledging it, I guess hes not going to accept it until i tell him, but i think it would just be a random, awkward, and pointless conversation to tell him directly, i mean, i had a boyfirend who called me at all hours of the day, and he ussually answered the phone....Take the hint

a gay friend of mine, and then my mom. in the same night. it ended up being a lot more scary in my head than it was when it (coming out) actually happened...both were excited for me (well, everyone i've told thus far has been excited for me, actually)

I first told someone who was only an acquaintance. He just happened to be president of the LGBT organization at my university. I knew he would at least be able to point me in the right direction and could give me information on the whole "gay" thing.

I jokingly told this creepy guy (who was asking me out) from my Developmental Psychology class that I had "just started dating a girl and thought it was getting serious" and from there I told him I was bi. At that time I hadn't REALLY thought about it too much and so I hadn't even come out to myself. It was all in texts too.

But for reals it was my friend, Sean's boyfriend, Geoff.

My older brother, who was a lot more accepting of the news than I ever thought he'd be. It was a very pleasant surprise. For the past 7 years he's been soooo supportive. Not only is he my brother, but he's also my best friend.

I was getting all worked up about it, and had planned to tell him when I stayed at his house that night. I veered the convo towards sex etc and then he jumps the gun and comes out to me first!! Crazy...
