Where the central character fell in love with this guy of sixteen or seventeen. During this story, the kid's dad dies right at the start, then he gets cancer, then he goes blind, then his beloved dog gets murdered, he gets raped, he ends up having a flashback about his mother's rape/murder, and then after all of that, he dies.

Now I'm really depressed, and I think I need a hug. :frowning2: :tears:

  2. (*hug*). Jeez who wrote that story, Jack the Ripper?

I can get over the pain of the characters, it makes for an inspiring story. However, killing off one of the two central characters in love is completely off limits.

Such stories of sadness.. Bleaghs.. This world has too many authors. Sometimes, it makes you wish that most of us were still illiterate so that there wouldn't be so much to choose from..

Although The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka is quite a tragic story... And I'm doing it for English in school...

I didn't. It's right at the start of the sequel that he dies, and I just stopped right there.
