Some country will declare war on another and it will start a nuclear war which will leas to a worldwide nuclear fallout.

Right at this moment.. I think the future is bleak and unknown.. I am hearing of so many bad things happening in this world at the moment and I do struggle to wonder how we can fix it.. Where do we even start? There is sadly always going to be war I think, it seems just when we feel safe to breathe a little.. Something else happens to make us all feel vulnerable again.

'The future is what we make if it'
    Said the insane man.

I'm all seriousness, it depends how far we look into the future. We don't exactly have psycho history to help us predict everything but I find Nuclear War unlikely as nobody is stupid enough to initiate it, to quote War Games "This is a strange game, it seems the only way to win, is to not take part'

I believe this world will end in the death of a star in five billion years time. The species, on the other hand, is less durable. I firmly believe that we'll destroy ourselves with our own greed.

I think people will get more united, but at the same time, those who don't will drift away. We get a few groups opposing one another.

    Haha, you'd be surprised! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Human nature can't be changed. We'll exist as we always have, misunderstanding and conflicting with each other until either we destroy ourselves, or are forced to unite out of desperation against some force that threatens (and probably would wipe out) all of humanity

Maybe I'm being a pessimist but I'm kind of scared to think of the future. People totally absorbed in their own worlds with technology (so a loss of face to face social interaction), continuous wars, antibiotic-resistant disease, and of course all the implications of climate change and the fact that a lot of the biggest contributors to this problem are not putting nearly enough effort into preventing it

Technology is gonna evolve in ways that are unimaginable to us today. The so called "technological singularity" will be reached in around 30-40 years. So who knows what the world will look like tbh.

Having grown up during the cold war, I think the chance of nuclear war is as low as it has been since the United States dropped the Fat Man, and Little Boy bombs on Japan. All of the countries that currently have nuclear weapons know the consequences of deploying them. Just like golden arrow quoted above "The only way to win is not to play."
While we have a lot of little wars going on, the chances of nuclear war were much higher during the cold war. The fear of the war back then you had videos like this that were shown in schools, or movies like "Dr. Strangelove", and "Fail-Safe", as well as Weird Al Yankovick with his song "Christmas at Ground Zero"

The cold war was actually a much scarier time.

Sea levels will rise, temperatures will rise in some places and fall in others, there will be a mass extinction event, cheap energy will run out. But humanity will survive, somehow. I don't think we'll wipe ourselves off the planet, but we will try our damned hardest to do so.

It sounds morose and horrible, but I'd like to have a world with about 10% of the population we have now...maybe some disease will come though, because it's sad to me how humans are killing off so many species, and making such a toxic mess of things. That's what I'd like to see. I also think people are pumping out WAY too many babies, and using/hogging far too many resources.

But in reality, I see a bleak future with a lot more division between the rich and poor, increasing amounts of water, air and soil pollution, less privacy, more monitoring of everyone's activities, less freedom, and a more brainwashed populace of 'consumers', drugged and functioning like prozac stuffed zombies in a crony capitalist dystopia.

I think technology will advance greatly, but privacy may become more scarce, unfortunately. Let's hope that doesn't happen in my lifetime.

Based on the number of stupid straight people I encounter, it'll probably be like in the movie Idiocracy.
