she knows that I like girls, but there's a boy i'm really attached to. and I told her that I like him, so she told that I should accept my female part and stop transtioning (she knows i'm trans) and said just like my family did : there'll be a guy who changes you. I told her that liking a guy doesn't make stop wanting to be a guy. she started rattling and said there are men and women in this world and we like one of them not both, I then told her that I'm only curious and I want to experiment my sexuality with a guy. she called today and she is so mad. idk what to say or do to her..

It is really frustrating when people refuse to accept that bisexuality does exist.. When someone has a belief like that and they are adamant they are right.. I don't know what you can do or say to change her mind.

You can like whoever you want to like. If you want to be with men and women, you sure can. Bisexuality of course is real. But I have heard all the ignorant stereotypes about bisexuals including that we do not exist. :frowning2: Just ignore ignorance. You know who you are and that is what is important.

People keep saying 'bisexuality doesn't exist' a lot, like it's Beetlejuice or something. We don't just disappear when you say it, but I won't lie... Beetlejuice would be pretty radical to party with.

invite her over then when she opens the door have someone get it then she goes to your room and you are there having sex with both men and women. all at once. then at the end of it all smugly tell her "so i guess i can like both" in the most im-right-youre-wrong tone

Interesting....this friend clearly has a case of

Total Ignorance - A common illness that only affects a rare species of humans. Aka most people.

My diagnosis is to distract yourself from her as to not contract this illness. It could be fatal.

No, but really in all seriousness, you should try to distance yourself from this friend - because in this situation, ignorance is not bliss.

I've had close friends say stupid things to me about bisexuality when I first came out to them. And it really hurt. But most of them have been educated now, and understand bisexuality better. Most, but not all... I don't think cutting ties is always the best answer. I'm sure she isn't a bad person. I think most people just don't know better because they aren't around bisexuals. But I think educating people helps... in some situations. Keep talking to her and explaining bisexuality. She might just come around and change her opinion.

I don't know, I don't understand why people think that it doesn't exist. If someone can be attracted to someone of the same gender or someone of the opposite gender, why is it so difficult to see that the same person could be attracted to both? Anyway, if you're not bisexual yourself, how can you say based on your own experiences what the other 7 billion people on this planet feel? Equally, I don't agree with those who say things like 'everyone's a little bit bisexual' because similarly, how can they know what everyone else is feeling?

Honestly, it sounds like your friend is an idiot.

I find this can be remudied through educating though.

    Happy days

The only solution is to find a far away island and ship everyone like her away to it.

I have heard this a whole lot. I guess people think it is unfair to like both sexes.. that is what my grandmother told me and it hurt my feelings. She said "it is like cheating, even if they are only dating one person at a time", I was really upset but then again she is old fashioned.

you shouldn't be friends with her. i dont see why people think bisexuality is such a strange concept? my mom used to think that way, and she still kinda does.
