So at my school, our Homecoming theme is Time Machine, and one of the spirit week days is devoted to that theme.
I dunno what decade I should do, or what I should wear.
I can do anything EXCEPT the 80's.

    Advice?
I know you guys can come up with somethin' great. <3

Why not 2003? It was a great year, at least for me.

Ahaha, but they mean decades, not individual years.
    I'm thinkin' the 90's.
    Or 60's.

Be a flapper of the 1920's! A short beaded dress with Russian boots and hide a flask in the boot's fold!

*I did a paper on fashion of the 1920's if you want some help*

    You used the word "dress".

That's sort of an automatic "no thanks" from me.

    Aha, sorry.

    I haven't worn a dress in..... years.

Why can't you do the 80's? You don't have to wear a dress. You can wear a powersuit with giant shoulder pads and high waisted pants.

Cause the seniors stole the 80's.
    >_<
Dude I totally want a zuit suit now. But where/how would I replicate that without spending a zillion dollars, haha.

PS: I wonder what I'll do for freaks and geeks day...

Well, just get a jacket with really padded shoulders, and then if you go to someplace like H&M maybe you can find some pants like those of a zuit suit.

"high-waisted, wide-legged, tight-cuffed pegged trousers and a long coat with wide lapels and wide padded shoulders."

I'll definitely look into that ASAP.

Any back-up ideas if this one doesn't work out?

Another great place to look for a Zuit Suit for a good price is at a second-hand or consignment shops. Consignment shops tend to have pretty good quality clothing actually.

And I really love the zuit suit idea for you. A good friend of mine who proudly proclaims herself to be a 'butch dike' -which kinda intimidated me at first... : ) - wore one all through high school. Pretty cool.

    Have fun at Homecoming!

I vote wearing a toga and going as pretty much any decade between 500BC and 500AD.

Orrrrr on a more sensible note, getting a suit, adding a black bow tie, slicking your hair back, and adding those really chunky-framed glasses. All you really need to be 50s, if you're Buddy Holly, haha! Or you could still do the hair thing, but wear jeans, a white shirt, and a leather jacket, and go as a greaser.

    Decent backup for the Zuit.
