Location: Bumblefuck, Illinois Posts: 997 Join Date: Jul 2008 | So at my school, our Homecoming theme is Time Machine, and one of the spirit week days is devoted to that theme. I dunno what decade I should do, or what I should wear. I can do anything EXCEPT the 80's. Advice? I know you guys can come up with somethin' great. <3 |

A short beaded dress with Russian boots and hide a flask in the boot's fold! *I did a paper on fashion of the 1920's if you want some help*

You don't have to wear a dress. You can wear a powersuit with giant shoulder pads and high waisted pants. |

But where/how would I replicate that without spending a zillion dollars, haha. PS: I wonder what I'll do for freaks and geeks day... |

Consignment shops tend to have pretty good quality clothing actually. And I really love the zuit suit idea for you. A good friend of mine who proudly proclaims herself to be a 'butch dike' -which kinda intimidated me at first... : ) - wore one all through high school. Pretty cool. Have fun at Homecoming!

Orrrrr on a more sensible note, getting a suit, adding a black bow tie, slicking your hair back, and adding those really chunky-framed glasses. All you really need to be 50s, if you're Buddy Holly, haha! Or you could still do the hair thing, but wear jeans, a white shirt, and a leather jacket, and go as a greaser. Decent backup for the Zuit.
