What I really love is music and I would really appreciate if you guys would post some titles and artists. I need more songs about LGBTQ.:eusa_danc:eusa_danc
T.A.T.U is my favourite Lesbian band. I adore their songs. And I had a HUGE thing for Yulia Volkova when I was younger. I don't know many others.. Chely Wright- Like me is about a woman. I don't think you will like my suggestions considering they aren't gay male related but.. yeah they're all I really know of.
Mary Lambert is my fave! She has a new album coming out soon (next week I think?). She Keeps Me Warm is probably my favourite song ever, but Secrets is really fun too:
Alanis Morissette - Will You Be My Girlfriend? Steve Grand - All-American Boy Do we count covers where gender hasn't been changed? If so: Carrie Underwood - Neon Moon Carrie Underwood - Sweet Child O' Mine Oh, and there's this... (; Saw this on Tumblr: Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble [iHeartRadio] And the saddest fear comes creeping in that she never loved me or her, or anyone, or anything... I'm gaaaaayyyyy~ People already mentioned Mary Lambert, t.A.T.u. and Chely Wright and there's also Tegan & Sara? Or Uh Huh Her? I'm a terrible lesbian and don't really listen to them, so I'm not sure if they really have songs that are obviously about girls??? Probably??? I just realized how very few LGBTQ+ songs I actually know, probably because I pretty much only listen to country music and kpop... lol
I recommend I Still Remember by Bloc Party as it is a rare example of an LGBT themed song that's quite subtle.
The only one I know is Nomy - I can take it slow, but that's obviously not a serious song nor the artist is gay so.. eh
Obviously "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga (why hasn't anybody mentioned that one?) Another favorite is "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper (although there's also a good Phil Collins version). Funny enough, "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" by Elton John is one. I'd think "The Bitch is Back" could be one, as well. I said in another post, "I'm A Boy" by The Who is basically the theme song for transmen.
Also Hand In Glove, What Differance Does It Make, Pretty Girls Make Graves Smiths are pretty gay! ha. They are pretty special to me Hand in glove The sun shines out of our behinds No, it's not like any other love This one is different - because it's us Hand in glove We can go wherever we please And everything depends upon How near you stand to me And if the people stare Then the people stare Oh, I really don't know and I really don't care There's no shame, ohhh no... ----- All men have secrets and here is mine So let it be known For we have been through hell and high tide I can surely rely on you ... And yet you start to recoil Heavy words are so lightly thrown But still I'd leap in front of a flying bullet for you So, what difference does it make ? So, what difference does it make ? ----- End of the pier, end of the bay You tug my arm, and say : "Give in to lust, Give up to lust, oh heaven knows we'll Soon be dust ... " Oh, I'm not the man you think I am I'm not the man you think I am
It's OK to be gay by Tomboy comes to mind. The music video is overly flamboyant and stereotypical, but the song itself is pretty catchy
I don't really listen to much LGBT music, but these two songs come to mind. I hate that song.
I just remembered another good song (and I couldn't figure out how to edit my other post, sorry), the lyrics are neutral but the video makes it explicitly about two men. It's really catchy:
"Everyone is gay" by A Great Big World "Prince Johnny" by St.Vincent "Jessie's Girl" by Mary Lambert "Hold Each Other" by A Great Big World "Girls/Girls/Boys" by Panic! At the Disco
