What are your bad habits when you are depressed?

    What are your bad habits when you are depressed, if you have any?

    I lock myself in my room, lie on the bed, and don't move. I don't even cry. I just lie there and breathe and feel sorry for myself.

    Sometimes, when I have a little bit more energy, I yell at people and start getting physical with them.

    That's pretty much some things.

    - Eat everything I can get my hands on (bonus points if it comes with extra grease)

    - Laying in bed, all pathetic

    - Playing nothing but video games all day.

    - Avoiding other people

    - Deliberatly taking long routes to get anywhere

    Spend hours in the bathroom, and just looking at my computer screen doing nothing. Imploding inside of course...

    Rant and vent on people, get really moody, and become antisocial.

    Completely isolate myself, get nothing productive done and eat/watch TV all day.

    Come to think of it those are my same habits even when I'm not depressed :/

    Over-eating
    Drinking
    Complete isolation OR take anger sadness out on others

    Sit around and do nothing because when I'm depressed I lose all interest in things

    Get really irritable and lash out at other people

    Isolate myself

    Procrastinate everything

    I tend to eat a lot. I'm fortunate though in that I don't put on weight so I tend to recover from it quickly.

    I also see a plummet in my concentration and I become quite wnd withdrawn as I'm generally a very private person when it comes to emotional problems and don't like to express myself to others.

    Isolation

    Emotional eating

    Giving in to my apathy; not working on things I need to be working on

    Staying stuck in my head

    Ice cream in closed room, with the blinds shut, only looking at the screen... praying that my parents won't bother me before they go to sleep. Staying up until i can barely stand and then going to bed crying, hugging the blankets.

    I lock myself in my room. Just play video game or watch tv all day. Or I overthink everything and my mood get worse and I just get angry at anyone who tried to come talk to me.

    Go into my room, turn off all the lights, put my music on, cut, and hang out here and on a couple other websites.

    -sleep for way too long
    -lay in bed all day, sometimes reading (which I guess is a plus, when you can concentrate enough)
    -let things get all messy and not care
    -contemplate ways to end things that seem sure to work, if things don't improve/become less painful in X number of years. This has become a favorite: The high speed train, the hydro-damn and its undertows by the reservoir along with sedatives, and so on, in a morose fashion, while sometimes reading Anne Sexton, or listening to her read from what exists of that.
    -wondering if anything 'happens' after you die

    I slept way too much, couldn't focus enough to even do a half-assed job on schoolwork, and didn't want people around me for their sake as well as mine. One night I was about ready to start swinging my fists and another time I just had the urge to throw something.

    Anger, lots of anger. I just feel hard done by, and it pisses me off. To be honest a lot of the time I'll be just about to cry, and then just before I do it suddenly all turns to anger. Got in an argument with my uncle recently and punched a hole through a fucking wall... I've inspected the wall since then and it's solid, I dont know how I didn't break my hand.

    Lay down and self-pity, listen to sad music, shut myself away in my room. But I shut myself away even when I'm not depressed.
