I only knew what they were when I got into Year 7, and I'll be doing mock tests this year. I'm in a higher class, so I'll be expected to ge a C or above in the core subjects. Are the tests themselves difficult?

No, they're just extremely boring. Just to make sure though before you go into the exam do 10-15 minutes of revision.

It really depends; as long as you revise and sort of follow along and basically understand what's happening in class it shouldn't be too difficult. Staying organized is really important too.

Anyhow don't really know your personal situation all I can say is do study for them but also don't stress too much at the end of the day, and good luck

Yea I forgot to add that bit in the most important thing is to not stress and to just try your hardest. If you pass thats great. If you fail Its not the end of the world you can try again in a few months time.

Sorry, but that is bad advice lol. GCSEs are hard in the sense that there are some many of them.

They're manageable (compared to A levels at least). Make sure you do a ton of revision, it really makes a difference.

I'm in the middle of them at the moment. They're not difficult, they are just very long winded and require holding a lot of information at once. The information itself is not difficult to understand, there's just a lot of it! You'll be fine as long as in your last year you don't let the work overwhelm you, no matter how boring or tedious it is!

It's really difficult to say because 'hard' has subjective meaning. Personally, I found them generally stress free because I prepared myself enough. As long as you consistently work, revise and just know your stuff, you'll do fine.

Depends on the person. Some people will find them hard, others will find it easier.

I think it depends on the ability of the individual. Eg what the individual is good at and how much study the individual puts in.

Find people, or a person, to study with. It makes revision so much easier.

The downside of revising with friends is that you can easily get distracted and end up doodling pictures of your teachers, or overdosing on Chilli Heatwave Doritos.

But don't panic. GCSE's aren't hard per se, you just have to retain a lot of information.
