What would u say if your crush or a cute/hot guy/girl had hearing aids? I wear them and not afraid to admit it(I don't know why someone would be). Would you still wanna date them or would it turn you off? I know of a couple people who don't like hearing aids but they never told me a reason other then it's a turn off. So I thought is ask your people's opinions, would someone wearing hearing aids be a turn off or my matter to you?

Sure, hearing aids wouldn't be a big deal at all.

Nope, as far as I'm concerned it is no different to someone wearing glasses. To be honest if someone is going to base a relationship on such a minor thing it probably wouldn't be worth perusing in the first place IMO.

Definitely not a turn-off! No different to me than having braces or something.

I can't believe I'm hearing this, in this day and age.

Glasses, hearing aids, braces. Not a big deal.

I wouldn't care. I'm learning ASL, and it would be cool if she knew sign language too.

I wouldn't care. Actually, I'd prefer they wore them if they needed them. My little brother is SUPPOSED to wear some, and did wear them when he was a kid, but he lost a couple pairs, then refused to wear them ever since. It's rather annoying when he misunderstands things because he can't hear the difference.

No problem whatsoever? I have had two friends who were hard of hearing. One of them was open about it and wore her hearing aids all the time, the other (though in her defense I knew her when we were younger and therefore less mature) rarely wore her hearing aids because she was embarrassed of them. As confuzzled said I'd much rather someone who needs them use them, and I've never thought of them as a "turn off" or a bother.

I know two people with hearing aids. One is my grandpa. I wouldn't date him. The other, if he asked me out I'd say yes so fast I'd... fast analogy... something.

They present as much of a difficulty as glasses. That is, they present no problem.

I wouldn't really care. It'd be no different than a person wearing glasses or braces.

Actually, speaking of braces, my highschool girlfriend wore braces on her legs. She was so sweet, too. We just weren't really meant for each other.

i used to wear them but now i make it a choice not to, since i was born hard of hearing. i admit it makes me self so damn self conscious when i do. the last time i went to get my hearing tested, they said it was close to normal. to answer your question, no. it makes more me vulnerable yet understanding about that person. just like being gay, you can't blame them for something that they're being born with.
