We've had voices of EC, so why not handwriting? Is yours good/bad?

And if you'd like, post a pic.

Ill put it this way when I had to sign my name on something in art class in high school my teacher complained that she couldnt read my name. I told her it was abstract. She said no.

We've definitely had a handwriting thread before actually, since I remember uploading the pic. It was this Summer even :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

No matter though, there are always duplicate threads. My handwriting is positively horrific. I'll post a sample later.

That's it, more or less. I don't know why I decided to address my handwriting in first person.

Sometimes it turns out a bit easier to read, sometimes harder.

Here's mine. My apologies if we've had a similar thread, I don't recall it.

I've been told that my handwriting is pretty, and while I suppose I'm supposed to take it as a compliment, I feel a little bit disappointed. I want to scrawl, I want to scribble, I want to make a mess out of my penmanship, because, no matter how terrible it sounds, people are saying that boys "write terribly" and girls "write neatly."

Similar to long hair. There's nothing wrong with having long hair, and a boy can have long hair if he damn pleases. But here, as people have said, they see long hair and they see a girl.

I can't take that. I can't write and have someone say, "Wow! Your handwriting is so pretty!" and then have them turn around and say, "That boy has really girly handwriting," when they just mean to say his penmanship is beautiful.

Anyway, that's sort of my thoughts on mine. Here's the old image from the other thread:

I think it sort of evolved into something, ah, "prettier," apparently, so I guess I'll do something and reupload...

    edit: nah, sorry

I write like a girl, sort of. Well I feel like I do, but people who see my handwriting say it's not so much girly as just immaculate and very readable. When I was young, like before going into kindergarten when I was just starting to write, my mother would literally crumple or tear up whatever I'd written and make me write it over again until it was legible and neat, so this made me almost paranoid about the readability of my handwriting. I've always written very slowly and carefully, although I can write a little faster and still be readable nowadays.

Mine. Not sure why it's upside-down.

^Yours is nice. I also tend to write slowly.

See, mine is neat, but it's not "girly". I don't do curls and connected letters and all that. Mine is just straight-up manly printing:

I don't really do "curls," and off the top of my head I'm not entirely sure what that means. But the connected letters thing comes and goes depending on how fast I'm trying to write.

Well, curls as in more rounded letters and maybe curling the tails of g's, y's, and q's. My writing tends to be somewhat angular, and from the handwriting of girls that I've seen, they do tend to round things more, not that that's a bad thing :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

haven't written anything by hand in years....and considering when i was writing by hand it was in the Cyrillic alphabet i am not sure if the pic will be usefull here :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

in addition...i was criticized for my 'cyrillic writing' back in the days...i am also left-handed...hmm

I think I understand what you're referring to. My handwriting isn't generally "curly" unless the letters are connected, but that's more like cursive writing than being that way for aesthetic reasons. I feel like my handwriting is pretty "no frills," I don't do anything or write in any particular way with the intent of making it "pretty." I just write legibly, that's really my own goal.

My handwriting is actually awful. I mean, half the time I can't even read it! I'll post a picture later, once I can get to my notebook.
