Facebook Vs Twitter

Hm.. I use Twitter for following (*ahem*stalking*ahem*) my favorite v-kei stars.
But I have also gotten replies from them on there (big thing for a fanboy!) so it would suck not to have it.

Facebook however, I use to rant. I post more there.. But frankly I don't like the layout or that it wants your real name (and is generally not as private).. Facebook is quite flawed.

I suppose I'd choose Twitter.

 

I've never used Facebook so it would have to be Twitter for me!

 

I have neither.

That said, Facebook would be my choice because it's more useful. You can share as much or as little as you want, whereas Twitter limits you to 140 characters.

Also, Twitter users who abuse hashtags are annoying as heck.

E.g. Just ate at #McDonalds #cheap #delicious #DollarMenu #Delicious

 

You don't use them for the same thing. I have twitter for news (I have current affairs and the world as my student radio segment, so I have to keep updated), and Facebook to talk to friends, organise things, and indulge in vanity.

 

Tumblr. xD
Out of the two i would choose facebook as its easier to chat to friends.

 

I don't have either, and I'm happy enough that way. You never said we had to have at least one.

I do Facebook more than Twitter. Twitter is fun for me to read, but as far as using it myself, I find it too limiting. Facebook allows me to rant, ponder, and postulate to my heart's content I tend to be very verbose when using social media so Facebook allows me to say what I want in one go without having to break it up into a million little tweets.

A Million Little Tweets......sounds like Oprah has a new book to promote!

Facebook.

I have a twitter account but I don't use it cause I don't see the point in it. It's boring and useless. Facebook isn't.

 

I don't have a Facebook account any more as I completely and utterly despise the self-indulgent crap that people post on that website as well as the vile way that friendship has been compacted into "Likes" and "Shares" almost as if you're not friends with someone because you haven't "Liked" a photo of what they had for breakfast so I definitely prefer Twitter as the people I follow on there seem to be a little bit more civilised.

 

I prefer Facebook - better communication between friends, however I agree there is a lack of privacy on that site.

I also have a quiet Twitter account so I can be up to date on my fave celebs

For those talking about Tumblr, I've heard of it, but I have no clue how it works.

 

OMG Twitter sucks. As someone else mentioned, I don't see the point of it either. Other than stalking celebs, there isn't much to it. Idk... it just really sucks. I had it for a while, but I'll never get on it again. Facebook all the way, baby! I am a FB addict, I have to confess!

 

Twitter, definitely. I can talk to most people I'm friends with on Facebook any day of the week in person, by text or over the phone. On twitter I've found lots of really awesome people from all over that I never would have met otherwise. And they actually share my interests, unlike most people I know in person.

 

Facebook. Because I have no idea what is the use of twitter and tumblr and how they works...

 

Facebook. The only time I've used my Twitter is to tweet about Big Brother and Sam Pepper. No one on my Facebook would really care about that stuff lol

 

I've never used Twitter really but facebook is more convenient for contacting people and stuff, which is mostly what I use it for, I don't post an awful lot.
