Define "manly" exactly...what would that have to constitute?

Depends, do you mean guys who appear to be straight, when they are not?

People assume I'm straight, but I don't really call myself manly.

If 'races' and 'cars' are the only things to make someone manly, I'm manly as fuck. Except, you know, I'm not.

    So please, define manly.

well...yeah like Candace said: what's "manly"?

if you mean someone who's more arrogant, serious etc. then yeah i am one but i am not gay just slightly into guys.

I am pretty sure many "manly" gays exist though...don't buy into the lame stereotype of the "sensitive fashion designer" propagandized by anti-gay American pop culture.

Likewise. I'd say I'm fairly masculine but not a tough dude type. I rarely watch sports until some type of playoff even though I know the rules, but I can fix things and have worked on my car. I've got good sense in picking out clothes and furnishings, but I don't follow trends and get updated when I have to purchase these things.

Neither am I (if they only knew ). Everyone just assumes that I'm straight.

Hmm, everyone assumes I am a lesbian... I suppose I am not very "manly" tohugh I have interest in things which make me apear very "guy-like"
I think people can't see me as a boy because I have a very... feminine body.

    Well, define "manly."

I obviously pass as male due to voice and physical characteristics, but "manly" is more difficult to pin down. As to whether I "pass" as straight, I do. I get pegged more as shy/nerdy/reserved, though .

Interest wise, I am all over the place. I have some more "male-oriented" hobbies such as emergency preparedness, DIY home projects and other similar things, but I also have some "female-oriented" hobbies and traits like antiques, cooking, and dressing well (not fashionably well, but just "well").

My book collection is split evenly between cookbooks and antique books, AND science, health, and political books.

If you were to meet me in person, I don't give off a "blue collar" vibe. I doubt I'd be mistaken for having a "manly" occupation like mechanic, police officer, soldier, plumber, etc. I would be pegged more of a white collar office worker, manager, or bureaucrat; not
exactly "unmanly" jobs, but not jobs that scream "this dude is gonna kick your ass".

That said, you touch my sister and I will hand you your ass on a turn-of-the century silver platter . I guess a very "manly" trait of mine is the fact that I am very protective of my family.

I'm fairly inexpressive and reserved, so quite the opposite of the flamboyant gay stereotype. But once you get to know me, you'll know I'm not a manly man by any means. I'm somewhere in the middle, really.

Depends on the definition of manly. I define myself as neither manly or feminine I'm just me. I like fashion and baking but I like alpine skiing and downhill biking. Don't put yourself in a small box because there's so much more to it than that. What's "manly" is only a product of society.

Agreed. I've been a motorsports fan since the mid-50's (yes, I'm old). You name it and I've likely been there: super speedways, short ovals, asphalt, dirt, road courses, street courses, from Formula 1 to Legends cars and unlimited and Formula 1 hydroplanes. The only events I have not been to in person are motorcycle events (or any sort), air races and drag races. And that's not be design; just circumstances. I've also driven race cars, but not in competition.

What relationship all that has with being a bisexual crossdresser I'll never know...

I think he meant car races haha. Drag racing is a form of auto racing.

My ex (woman) is a huge fan of that show. I was kinda meh about drag, tbh. But I really like what Ru has to say a lot of the time. And I was happy that he had guys like Santino on there a lot that didn't seem to completely fit into gay stereotypes. Really helped me a lot.
