What does the outside (or in this case non ally/caring) world see us, the LGBTQ community as. If you ask me I'd say most of them, the outside world, sees us in stereotypes. I was wondering what everyone else thought.
Honestly, I think a lot of them do. A lot of them don't read up on LGBTQ matters and they just with whatever rumors they hear. Stereotypes are stereotypes.. I say if they're judging us like that as a group, then who's to say that they're not judging everyone else like that? Maybe with all of these US states getting approved for gay marriage, who knows.. maybe a few people will want to try and understand us without any prejudice or predetermined thoughts.
There's always a danger in reacting to others the same way we perceive they are reacting to us. Stereotypes don't change except on a personal level when people become friends and have empathy towards one another. Having a perpetual enemy to rail against does not bring people together.
In my city oh i cant describe what its like Indonesia is such an ancient country. And very old school. I dont even understand why am i still here. The people here just looking at 'us' like a weirdo. I really hate that look. But thank God i am quite well managed and I live in big city here so there's not so much to worry about. Bali is a freedom island for our community
