I been meaning to do that at the beginning of the school year but was to nervous until today. I spoke with the director of LGBT student development he gave me a tour and a list of lgbt programs an events. I am also going to be asigned an LGBT mentor. This is a big step for me and I just wanted to share.
You will find college to be a much more positive arena. We have numerous equity/diversity and gay/straight student alliances where I work. I'm proud of you!
Don't hug everybody too much, and you should be just fine. You're a very smart and funny young man, so, those who are involved in all of this, are very fortunate to have you in their ranks.
Good job! It can be nerve-racking making the final step but I'm sure lots of good will come out of it.
