Stupid cliché: Home is where the heart is.

So where's yours, be it where you live now or not? It has to be bigger than a single house, say a city or country. Where do you feel the greatest affinity for?

My home town.. I love it here and I wouldn't want to move away from here. There is just something about it, I feel at ease and at peace.

I feel very comfortable in Canberra. I know its society, geography, where to go, where to avoid (thankfully, there are very few areas which are to be avoided due to danger), and feel a sense of belonging here.

I have an enormous emotional connection to my familial homeland, however. Finland is where I feel calmest, and the language is what I would consider my mother tongue, even if it is inferior to my English now. I think it's because it's so connected to family in my mind; Finland's an escape from day-to-day life. There are some areas I have no connection to, naturally, but I feel a sense of home there.

The nature of it as my emotional paradise is a negative thing sometimes. Each time I return, I fear the magic will be gone. I think that would be a bit of a blow to me.

I don't really consider anywhere my physical home, but I'm ALWAYS on this one forum I admin on. As soon as I wake up, any free time at school, and until I go to sleep. The people there and the friends I've made have kinda made it a pocket home. Whenever I feel the crowd induced panic attack start, I just go to that site and hang out in the chat. ^-^'

I really feel at home in the city where I currently live. In fact, I don't see myself moving to a different city within the Netherlands.

Other places I've been to and felt at home are Antwerpen, Berlin and Stockholm. It's weird: my love for Antwerpen has grown over the years, but in Berlin and Stockholm I instantly had this connection with the place. I could see myself move to one of these cities, hopefully sooner than later.

My home is less a place and more a small group of people, and wherever they are, that's home to me.

Where I currently live. I've lived here all my life, and can't picture moving to a different city

My state where I was born and raised is home, in a way. I mean, my family has been there since the 1600s, and pretty much everyone is still there, so that's home. But in terms of other places that I just can't seem to get away from, even though I've never actually been there (weird, I know, but I consider them "home" in a way, because I'm so drawn to them), there's Ireland, Scotland, and Sweden. Ireland... well, I have some Irish heritage, and I've always been drawn to that side of my heritage. Scotland... similar reasons to Ireland. Plus Hogwarts is there. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: (I'm a huuuuuge Harry Potter nerd). And Sweden... my best friend is there. We've never actually met, but he's given me a lot of information on it, and introduced me to the language, and the more I learn about it, the more I'm drawn to it.

I don't have a strong affinity to any particular place tbh. I'm fine where I am at the moment though.

Right now, home is Western Michigan University. Now I'm not and never have been all gung-ho with University Pride, and nor will I be one of those alums who bother to donate to the alumni association after I graduate, but for now, It's home.

I feel affinities with Iceland and Scotland. More so with the latter. I've always had a strong affinity for the UK. I feel it for the rural areas. I don't like cities. I need to surrounded around nature. Besides, I fell in love with a very dear friend of mine who is from the UK. So, not only do I feel a connection to the land, I also am immediately reminded of my friend.

Right now I don't have a place where I feel really "home". I hate it here.
But I guess when I live somewhere else and I come back here, I'll feel differently.

I feel the same way about Berlin. When I get older I'm thinking about moving there. I went there back in April and it just felt so right! If I stay in Sweden I will probably move to Stockholm, it's a great city. The rest of Sweden's "cities" are too small for me.

ETA: Does fictional places count? I've spent so much time in Central Perk and Wisteria Lane that those places feel like home.

Have no place to which I have such attachments to (and I cannot say Japan, because I have not yet physically been there). I certainly have no love for the country I live in, let alone the town.

Somewhere without pain or suffering, somewhere beyond Earth beyond life. That is where my home is.

Eh, I don't really have one.

Give me some mountains and I'm good. I'm relatively adaptable.

While I don't mind the town I live in, I wouldn't consider it a home. Yes, it technically is, but, I assume you want us to answer, where we feel most comfortable.

If this is the case, then my home would be...

    Inside of myself.

All of my thoughts and dreams, all of my feelings and stimulation, all of my memories and experiences, reside there. Wherever I go, I am always home.

Of course, I'm not bigger than a house. LOL!

Right now there are 2 places I consider my home. The first is at my house, but the other is my dorm room at Uni

The places I feel the most comfortable are forests, mainly.
I don't know whether I would call them home though.
