Does anyone else here have autism?

I do. I was diagnosed with Aspergers at 15, and it's why I have a lot of my quirks.

I was diagnosed with Aspergers when I was 2 years old. Mind you, it's very mild compared to some cases, but maybe it has something to do with being diagnosed early.

 

Thank Zeus I'm not the only one. The Aspergers bus also stops here (diagnosed aged 18)

I don't, however I do have a big understanding of it as my cousin has mild Autism and we have had a lot to do with his early intervention when he was very young. He has turned into a very well adjusted young man now and I am very proud of his achievements.

I don't have autism but respect the hell out of people who do.

 

There are many people with autism around the forum, you aren't alone! I was investigated for Aspergers a while back but it seemed to die down.

 

Small world eh? You'll easily find more people with things such as Autism (like me) around here by the looks of things.

 

It has been my eternal shame, I've told more people I'm bisexual then being on the spectrum.

I am quite honestly a bit shocked by the amount of members with autism/aspergers we have on here. It is a testament to how well anyone with these conditions can blend in, but it also makes me wonder if there is some connection between being LGBT+ and having these conditions. I don't really think so, but this topic is a bit overwhelming.
