Every conversation has two roles. Those who talk, and those who listen. Usually, the roles switch back and forth.

The question here is, do you usually talk more, or listen more, in a conversation? Or, does it depend on who you are with?

Do you listen or just wait to speak? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

A lot of the time I talk more, but I also try and truly listen.

Depends on who I'm with. There are some people who I just go off on tangents and say random shit and there's other people who I'm mainly in the position of listening to because they're so knowledgeable

I talk more, which is kind of sad. I'm trying to listen more, because I think I learn more, and people feel more appreciated that way.

What type of conversation are we talking about? It depends on the context; am I giving someone advice they asked me? The other way around? Am I explaining something or am I learning something? But if I'm asking questions which need only approval or disapproval, I'm going to be the one talking more. Conversations aren't the simplest to divide into types, and I have no idea which I am more of; a talker or a listener.

If it's a casual conversation, it tends to be pretty equal. In group conversations, I like to get control of the conversation and act as a sort of mediator, which helps keep it running smoothly, though it means I only add one or two comments here and there and ask questions.

I am more of a listener then a talker. One on one, I talk more.. But I find in a group, I am more likely to sit back and just listen to everyone around me. I find I am more observant that way.

I'm better at talking than listening.

I've found more people tend to like to talk, then listen. I'm more then happy to let them.

I've always been a listener... I'm getting better with holding conversations, but I still consider myself to be incredibly awkward.. :icon_redf
