Sarah Palin talks about homosexuals

WTF, i just kinda snuck outta my living room after watching a report on Sarah Palin by Katie Couric where she talked about her gay friend and how she chose to go down that path and crap. My parents were all like saying that it is not a choice and how they think she is not very intelligent...anyway, i snck outta there b4 i could get interogated about the subject.

Did any of you see this, on the CBS evening news with Katie Couric?

Anyway, what do you think on this issue?

I saw other parts of that interview, and it looked like she didnt know what she was talking about a lot of the time. They had a really funny skit on Saturday Night Live recently that made fun of her.

Just saw it. It sounded like she did not agree with the choice of living a gay lifestyle but I could not tell if she felt if being gay was a choice. She also mentioned that one of her best friends is gay.

As if the challenge lay in the homosexuality itself and NOT the extreme amounts of pressure, abuse, rejection, and stigmatization placed on LGBT people by people like her. God, she terrifies me. I don't know what's going to happen to this country if McCain gets elected and doesn't survive all four years.

I hope her friend that has chosen to be gay for the last 30 years will inform Gov. Palin that it was not a "choice" anymore than it was her "choice" to be straight. Why wouldn't she answer the question about what magazines she read? That seemed like a straight-forward question to me.

I'm thinking oh yes I just woke up one day and decide hey I'm going to be a lesbian because I just absolutely love the idea of being hated by people and not being treated equally.

Oh, believe me. About two years ago, when I was still very religious and very terrified that I might be gay, I prayed day in and day out for Jeebus to make me straight. If you'll look to your left, you'll see my sexuality status. Hasn't changed a bit. Whether you're religious or not, prayer does nothing in regards to sexuality. Nothing at all. I put every bit of my heart into it, I was truly willing and ready to change, and nothing came of it but self-doubt and on/off periods of depression. Pray away the gay? What a sack of shit.
