I hate this term , I feel like why must it be broken up in percentages, why can't we just be lesbians . I think the whole percentage thing is just dumb .

I've never heard this term before.. though my friend called me 99% gay and I thought it was kind of funny. If someone wants to rate themselves percentage-wise that's cool and all I suppose, but I wouldn't impose it on those who don't want it. To me saying you're 60% gay or 100% lesbian sounds kind of jokey, because sexuality isn't exactly something that can be easily divided up into a percentage.

I personally hate having to use if for myself like for example, and I've been getting questions lately of what percentage lesbian are you or how lesbian are you .
I just get made and say I'm lesbian, but they keep asking and then I go 100% damnit :tantrum:
I hate using it for myself .

I think the same whenever someone calls themselves a "kinsey 5.99999". It's like, bruh, you're gay; just accept it.

In the past I used to think in terms of percentages, but that was before taking fluctuations, non-binary genders, and preferences into consideration.

You run into a lot of strange people, Stocking. I don't think it would occur to me to ever ask someone what "percentage" gay or lesbian they were (or straight for that matter). If you say you're lesbian that should be good enough. Are they trying to find out if you would be open to a guy or something?

Yeah it was several men that ask me this , but I'm thinking if I was into men I would have just said so .

Oiy :icon_roll . I think it's perfectly acceptable to just say "I'm not interested in guys (and even if I were I would not be into you :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: ) " and walk away at that point.

Yeah but the one time I really got mad with the term is when I was with another girl she says she's 99% lesbian then asked me what percent lesbian are you . I was thinking in my head not this s:***: again .
It's like can't I just be lesbian if fine if you use it for yourself but why do I need to use this crap

What happens when you become 100% lesbian? Do you evolve?

The vote was close tonight, but we have a projection to make in the state of LostLion...

    X 52.75% Male Preference Bisexual
    47.25% Female Preference Bisexual

Seriously though, I here percentages a lot with bisexuals. "Are you 50% or like 75%?" type of stuff.

Never really heard it in terms of gay or lesbian.

Is that term used instead of... hmmm what was it called... Gold Lesbian? In other words is it a term for a person who was strictly homosexual from day one? Like me but lesbian?

Then I don't find it offensive.

However if it is used some in denial concepts or used in terms saying I am better than you because I am 100% gay who never had doubts... it is more stupid than offensive but yeah it is offensive.

^Kinsey scale--a form of marking sexuality on a gradient scale.

I've used the phrase "100% gay" before, but only to clarify my sexuality when making a comment on a girl or something. People have a tendency to take any comment I might make about a girl's beauty as admitting that I'm bisexual (mainly because they are straight guys who are too afraid to ever comment on a good-looking man).

I find it a little strange to be honest, I used to have a preference at one point towards women when I was labeling myself bisexual, however I never would have labelled myself 75% gay for example or even 50% gay if I was equally attractive to men and women.. I must think it makes it more complicated and confusing when all these percentages are added to the mix, but each to their own.

I've heard of it many times before and to this day, I still don't understand it. If someone is not 100% lesbian, then they're bisexual so why use the term?
