High sex drive?

    I woke up in the middle of the night last night SUPER horny. I was humping my bed while half asleep. I had to erm, relieve myself in order to go back to sleep.

    Why did this happen? A sign of a strong sex drive? My sunconscious sexually craving something? (been chatting with someone who I was interested in... Nothing happened. I'm still a virgin).

    I don't want to sound flippant, but you are 21! It's perfectly normal and doesn't need too much explanation. I'm sure you are not the only 21 year old guy to get horny during the night. :slight_smile:

    It's also normal for sexuality to be unusually high sometimes--it can fluctuate. There was a time this spring when almost every guy in my classes who wasn't ugly seemed hot to me and it was very distracting. And now that's not the case (being in relationship is part of it, I'm sure, but still...these things ebb and flow).

    My sex drive is kinda dead right now , I was always horny a few months ago but I know it's a result of so much porn use . I wish had a high sex drive again

    Well, you are male and young; I think you just are naturally horny/have a high sex drive. I am a little older than you and I still get daily urges and it's possible to 'relieve' myself several times a day, on a daily basis.

    I believe men are generally more 'horny' than women; anecdotal evidence say women don't usually have sex as often as their male partners would want.

    This guy had it spot on. The peak of a male sex drive is when they are a young man (anywhere from 17-25) while the peak of a female sex drive is around her thirties.

    As far as what to do with urges, releiving yourself is in my opinion the best bet. I have a high sex drive and sexual frustration but I can't seem to do anything about it other than that.

    I had a major episode of waking up in the middle of the night aroused. When I first came out to myself back in April, I would literally wake up in the middle of my sleep almost every night, aroused. This happened straight for almost a month! It's since gone away... except for last night.

    Strangest thing for me is that I NEVER had an experience where I was awoken in the middle of my sleep from excessive horniness in my teenage years... Could've been all the closetedness. I would NEVER imagine myself with a guy (although I would fantasize about them). The moment I began doing such when I came out to myself, I began having these nocturnal arousal-wake-up sessions.

    I guess coming out can have some profound effects on one's conscious, subconscious, and sex drive (opens it up, allows you to explore your true fantasies more).

    Yeah, you hit it right on the nose. You are more honest with yourself. I just came out this year though, but I haven't had much of a change except in one small way I won't discuss. Then again, I am 31. And yes, I had plenty of night boners when younger.

    I think is normal especially for male at this age. I'm sure you're not the only one because it happened a lot for me, I even dream about having sex with a man, and I'm still a virgin.

    That is me since my teen years. I've always woken up horny in the middle of the night, it's something completely normal for me. Obviously, since I'm used to it I just ignore it and keep on sleeping, it eventually goes back to normal. Another thing is that, if you move around a bit, the friction might be causing you to get aroused. :slight_smile: Still, it's pretty normal for that to happen, I've read, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that guys are aroused during sleep around 3 hours, or sometimes more. Don't know if it applies to everyone but, for me it definitely does.

    Bro i'm 27 and i still feel like that, and i'm a virgin. Sometimes i can't sleep unless i relieve myself. It's a sign that you are a perfectly normal human being and that you are not an alien, congrats.
