The only VP debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin is on tonight on all broadcasting stateions. It's the only VP debate this election year. I can't wait to hear what everyone has to say about it.

I can't wait to see Sarah flop around like a fish out of water IN FRONT OF A GIANT AUDIENCE. If she can't hold her own with Katie Couric, she's going to choke in front of hundreds of people and lots of cameras, all while Joe Biden is crushing her.

Does anyone know if it's available to watch live on British television? What time is it on?

Just seen that the BBC News website says that it will be running it live from 1am on the website. I don't think the actual debate starts until 2am. On BBC News 24 (the satellite channel) it will be showing the actual debate from 2am. At 1am BB2 joins BBC News. So, for UK people addicted to the American election:

BBC 2: 1am coverage starts (with debate at 2am I think)
BBC News 24: same as above
BBC News Website: can watch it live too

(please don't hit me if this info is incorrect!)

I'm very much so looking forward to this. Typically, VP debates don't have much of an impact other than defining the VPs themselves, but this time, things are so close that an excellent performance - or an equally bad failure - could very easily tip the scales in one campaign's favor or the other.

Both are very good public speakers, and I'm expecting a good performance out of both of them.

I'm looking forward to see it.

I wonder if the boot camp had fixed Palin in anyways lol
Also she is a good public speaker so I think she will do at least ok.

I'm worried that Joe Biden might say something that is not on paper and ruins everything:dry:
Altho he IS good, as long as he doesn't have his little "oopsie" comments...

  9. I can't wait to see the debate. It's very important. If Palin does well then the McCain campaign will be reignited. If not, then Obama is in a very good position to win. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Biden has to be VERY careful tonight. He is a very aggressive man, so if he's too tough on Palin, it could come off as a "she's not as good as me cuz she's a woman" type thing.

I have a class during the debate tonight, but the teacher let us listen to Obama's speech at the DNC, so she'll let us listen to the debate on the radio. (Its a drawing class, btw)

I'm so excited to see (well, hear) Palin crash and burn (hopefully)

If for some reason someone can't see it, I'm sure they'll post the full video on YouTube soon.

So now I have plans to watch it over at my mom's place. She's leaning pretty far away from McCain, but not necessarily towards Obama. Palin scares her, and she doens't exactly think highly of Biden. It should be interesting.

I hope Pallin says some of her "jokes" so that Biden could have an easy target...

It was a pretty good debate. Both of them did fairly well. I liked when Palin made a horrible joke, and then the moderator followed it up with another bad joke, and then Palin called her out on it. Too bad I missed the gay marriage part. I was in one of our dining halls, and I could see what they were talking about, but it was too loud in there to hear them.
