Okay, so I am totally and completely flipping out.

I am going home for break (leaving Saturday) and I NEED to take my cello home to get it repaired, but I can't buy it a seat (it's freakin expensive, and my plane ticket was a gift), and I don't want to check it (last time I did and my cello and I didn't get it until four days after my plane landed!) and I have no f:***:ing idea what to do.

I've looked all over the interweb for answers, but everyone says don't check it, buy a special hard case and buy it a seat, neither of which I can do!!!!

Why don't you try shipping it home? Express overnight it home in a hard-shell case. It should be fine and dandy

why can't you get it fixed where you are, instead of taking it home to get it fixed?
