There are four bags of astronaut poop on the moon, left behind by Neil Armstrong on his Apollo mission to moon.
Our scientists would probably jump for joy if aliens deposited some of their doo-doo on earth. Since space is the topic: spacecraft thrusters are more efficient the faster the ship is going.
What if the microorganisms in their doo-doo caused a global pandemic and wiped out the species? I dunno about the scientists, but I'd be a little put out.
I actually find that funny because of the great pains NASA took to ensure no cross-contamination between Earth and space. I mean, NASA has the Office of Planetary Protection, for crying out loud .
I mean, you'd have to think that they'd have to go eventually, right? I don't find this bizarre at all, actually
Another egestion-related fact: The smell of shit is due to anaerobic bacteria dying upon contact with oxygen. Yes, this was my line of thought. Though I must admit, I only learnt about said office because of a webcomic. ---------- Post added 11th Nov 2014 at 12:04 PM ---------- They should take it back with them.
