    Wish me luck guys :slight_smile: I've never done waitressing before! It's a nice hotel called the palms and my manager seems like a lovely lady. I'm pretty sure shes the manager anyway. I am nervous but excited!

    Thank You so much guys! I did great! And it wasn't as hard to learn as I imagined it would be.. there is still alot to learn but I got the basics down. Turns out i'm also a bartender! I do both.. I serve drinks and waitress.. Perfect little job for me as it isn't a huge place and it's hours are perfect for what I want to study. I work nights so I can study at day! :slight_smile:

    Also.. I'm getting that step closer to finding the girl of my dreams by doing this so I am super happy with myself! Thanks again guys! x

    Hope everything goes great! I used to wait tables, and I found I made more doing that than any job I've had, though it is hard work. It's funny, I did it in school while getting an English degree, now, I work in a library, but make less...though I do have health benefits, so that's the big difference. But I miss the money. On a Fri./Sat I recall making $100-200 in tips, for a 6 to 8 hour shift, when I'd worked my way up to fine dining. Though it did have some stressful moments, and those chefs can have tempers!

    Good luck. I worked in the catering industry but didn't enjoy it. Certainly very fast-paced and no time for dilly-dallying. Chefs will shout at you if you go slow, lol.
