This test went around my office a few weeks ago and I'm curious to see how you guys do.

I was thrilled with my score as I expected to do terribly since I have some level of red-green colorblindness. I couldn't believe I did better than quite a few people with "normal" vision.

    I got a 7, which I guess is pretty good

It's interesting that 1 out of 12 men has a color-vision issue; I wonder why that is.

I got a score of 0 (perfect apparently) which is a surprise seeing as I do have some visual problems, but mainly to do with tracking and focusing. This test will be an interesting point to bring up next time me and my mother have one of our disagreements over what colour something is, Her: "It's blue!" Me: "No, it's clearly turquoise!" etc.

Dang, I can't seem to do it on my iPod.

I know from past experiences that I have good eyes, though (with color; however, they are very, very near-sighted).

I got a 56, but I know I'm not visual a all and some of those were really the same to me xD. The purple, mostly, was impossible xD

I am trying, but this is absolutely torture for someone who is colorblind.... I swear, I could be at this all night.

331...fml. I took about 15 min. and just said screw it and did the best I could. No, I could not ever be a police officer. Yes, I was told this at the age of 7. As someone who thrives on law & order, it broke this little kid's heart.

    Perfect color vision

Colorblindness is a sex-linked gene. The gene is carried on the X chromosome, which males only have one of. If that gene is damaged, then he's colorblind to some extend. Females on the other hand, since they have two X chromosomes, are less likely to get two damaged genes.

I shouldn't have taken the quiz. Feeling awful now and it brings back memories of when kids made fun of me. :frowning2:

Scored a 40...it's well known that colour perception changes with time of day, and it's bloody late right now in my part of the world...

This was by no means an easy test. It would put a fair amount of strain on even the most precise color vision. Impaired color vision or blindness is so insanely common that there no reason to feel insecure. It is clear that those who mocked you were children because any mature person wouldn't even think to criticize such a random and insignificant flaw.

Having more trouble picking up than some doesn't make your eyes any less perfect for the meeting our basic needs. There are millions of hues out in the world that cannot be detected by human eyes. We are all very much color blind in the grand scheme of things. (*hug*)

    I scored 32 on a fast one.

That little hue difference will never change your life anyway... even for a graphic designer like me.

Well, that is reassuring, especially considering i just woke up.

On a side note, to people who got a low score. Do note that it is somewhat dependant on the quality of the screen you are using, whether it is color calibrated, the lighting in the room and... yeah. So don't feel too bad about it.
