Going off the shower or bath thread earlier, for those of you who prefer showers, do you prefer a shower stall:

    Or a tub shower:

Personally I have to go with a shower stall. The house I grew up in was previously owned by a family whose daughter was paralyzed in a car accident, so they had to redo one of the bathrooms to have an accessible shower. I think it's awesome to not have to step over the side of a tub to get in and out, and it's much easier to clean that way. If/when I buy a house, that's a non-negotiable for me.

I don't think it would really matter to me much. I've never used a stall though. Only tubs.

Well, it is more comfortable for two people to use a shower stall at the same time...

I definitely prefer a dedicated shower to a tub. More important to me though is that it has good water pressure; the weak ones just plain suck. I also greatly prefer to have shower doors rather than a curtain, even though they're a royal pain to clean. After painting that was the first change I made when I bought my condo.

I suppose the stall is nicer, but showers usually seem to come in bathtubs, and I wouldn't buy a stall specifically.

I want a stall. We have a tub shower though, with a detachable nozzle that's integrated into to the bathroom sink.

We have 1 of each in the house... I use the one with the tub since it's my bathroom, but I don't think it matters too much.

This, except I once used a stall that was quite dark since it was tile most of the sides without any light. That coupled with the fact I'm very nearsighted (and there used to be tons of spiders in the house) meant I was always kind of nervous going in.

Stall. I have one in my current apartment, it's HUGE and it's wonderful.

Tubs are so inconvenient for a shower.

Stall. My bath and my shower are separate, which is much nicer for me.

There's also less risk of hurting myself in a stall. Tubs feel slipperier.

Shower stalls are much nicer; that's what I grew up with at my parents' house.

Here with my roommates, our house isn't nice enough to have that--just has a couple tub showers and I share one with a bunch of guys and it needs to be cleaned all the time -_-

I have both in my house. I prefer using the tub shower because the stall is tiny, there's no room to move about at all.

I use a stall at school, and I have a tub shower at home. I like the shower stall better, just because in my tub shower everything is spread out. In the stall, it is not as spread out and it is easier for me to find my soap without my glasses...lol. (I am blind without my glasses).

Mine looks like the second photo you posted, AG. It's a tub-shower combination.

However, a really nice shower stall would be preferable to a generic tub-shower combination.

Stall, I am more worried about slipping in the tub.

I have only used a stall a couple of times. I don't care, personally, as long as it doesn't leak over floor and it can fit a couple people in.

I have a tub shower with a sliding door to keep the heat in. It makes it so I would have something to hold in the event of falling. I like the option of being able to take a bath, however my hot water heater seems to really get cold quickly with filling bath water. It is fine for showers though. Guess that is a different topic.
