That's very interesting. The only thing is -- only our Aussie friends will have access to Kangaroos unless they started making farms of them across the world like they do other livestock.

So are all of the animals that are used as food. I'm biased about this because I'm a vegetarian.

But our kangaroos are in plauge proportians and many are shot and just left to rot so may aswell put them too good use...

But i hole the japanese dont try to justifiy eating whale using the same argument...

We seem to have a good deal of vegetarians and vegans here. I don't think it's financially feasible for me to switch to kangaroo, so I'll pass, for now. Maybe once I'm done with college.

Aren't kangaroos essentially just huge rats with freakishly large legs?

    Sounds tasty!

I actually wouldn't mind trying it...

I only eat chicken and fish - because I need some meat in my diet, and chickens and fish are like...2 of my least favourite animals. XD
    I can't even imagine eating a kangaroo :frowning2:

A lot of people seem to have this "Nooo - can't eat Skippy" thought in their minds.

I'm not a big red meat eater - I'll occasionally have a steak if I eat out - but at home I mainly eat vegetarian - and the only red meat I use at home IS kangaroo. It is very healthy, has a good flavour (a little stronger than beef) and is INCREDIBLY lean. I buy the mince and use it for bolognaise etc - and there is so little fat in it (97% fat free) I actually have to add olive oil to be able to cook it. I also cook Kangaroo fiilet occasionally - delicious.
