    Downgrade from romantic relationship to only friendship relationship?

    I struggle to see any real deep connection between me and my bf and has contemplated to downgrade the relationship to just being friends before someone gets hurt. Has anyone here have such experience?

    Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't(Just becoming Friends). I tried to just become friends with my previous boyfriend and I no longer talk to him.... You can't really know what will happen until it actually happens....

    Just had that experience. My advice is, if your partner doesn't want to be with you anymore, it's best to let things take their course. Don't get yourself hurt trying to chase something that isn't there anymore. If you feel lonely, then it's time to strike out anew and find what you're really looking for.

    I'm in a long distance relationship so it's not quite the same but yes I have heard of it. My gf and I weren't connecting so we broke up but still talked and eventually we reconnected and got back together. However it's very rare that people break up and actually stay friends at least in my experience
