The biggest piece of advice is to not rush the prep work.

I agree, It's not all men, but the concept of virginity and valuing it DOES come from a place where women were considered property and less pure. Hence 'If I'm the first to sleep with her, it won't mean anything after that because she can sleep with a million guys but I was still the first to 'claim' her'.
