Apparently I'm too straight

I was hanging out with this girl that I came out to, about a month ago, earlier today. We picked up some lunch afterschool and were sitting on her back porch... I don't know how the subject came up, but she said I was "too straight" to be gay. I don't know if I would've been offended had she not been one of my closest friends but I can't see her justification of the comment... Just because I'm not feminine doesn't mean I'm not gay.

Anyone else been accused of being too straight?
At least it's good to see my straight side could fool people... ahaha

Yeah when one of my str8 friends found out that I was gay, he was so surprised, if not shocked. Later he asked " How could you be gay, your so staight acting?"

I told him I am not a flaming queen (no offense to anyone that is), I only add in some now and then. I totally agree with you in that you don't have to be feminine to be gay. Stereotypes and the media really encourage it, but who am I to follow what everyone else thinks?

I told someone and they looked at me with a weird face and said "really?!?! I would never have been able to tell" I was like "wut".

I'm usually the one to get small jokes made towards me in class or something about being gay, and then someone will says "Don't worry Keith, we know you're not gay" in a very serious tone.

Then there are times when I hang out a girl, and often times I put my arm around them and stuff and people automatically think we're dating. On campus now, according to rumors, I have several girlfriends. If only they knew I liked guys. Haha.

My friend is currently accusing me of having a fling with her roommate. If only it were true.

No, I've never really gotten that, but I attribute it to me not being out to anyone in this dangerously right-leaning community. However, I don't think I've ever gotten more than one or two "I think he's gay" suspicions tossed my way.

Well, I'm not completely out. But the first person I told was pretty surprised and said he never would have guessed. I did have one person (my boss) ask me if I was a lesbian... which is odd.

I reckon I blend in with the crowd.

I think people tend to think the same way with me. My sexuality has never been an issue, never something people talk about(at least around me)....Aside from one time when Katie asked if I was gay...Oh what could have been....

Actually, I get that A LOT. No matter who I tell, someone who's know me for years, or a compete stranger, they always say "Really, I couldn't tell". It happens every time.

My one friend that knows was like "how can you be bisexual?" because she was showing me all these "hot" (not) guys and I was like ew no
I then explained to her that I have a different taste in guys just like she does compared to some of our mutual friends

Yep and it's very irritating. I can't stay mad at them though. I actually felt the same way for a very long time.
