Google is doing this thing where you can search its index that dates back to 2001. I looked up EC and found it in its early days! It's crazy though.. Not sure if the link will work but http://web.archive.org/web/20010724045152/www.emptyclosets.com/ It's perrrtyy interesting.. EDIT: Well, the link didn't work for me.. soo go to google, and click on "try a search from our early days" and then put in emptyclosets and then at the results page, click on "View old version on the Internet Archive"
It's amazing how far it's come, from a petty little advice page to a full message board. Is it even the same website? Interesting...
Yeah, I saw that :[ It's weird, you don't really see anything like that on EC nowadays.. so you'd think that EC is a hidden website when seven years ago, apparently it had enough rep to attract assholes :/ Maybe people are changing.. maybe the mods are doing an excellent job.. maybe it's because you have to register to post now.. haaaa Either way, in my opinion, after reading the legitmate EC-ers of the past's threads it seems that EC has accomplished one major goal over the years, and that's letting others know that they're not alone. (*hug*) for EC
http://web.archive.org/web/20010724045152/www.emptyclosets.com/ ^working link :icon_wink Jesus seems angry at me
Whoa-that is so wierd. The internet has changed so much in 8 years, you'd have thought more like 20. I bet the assholes who were posting hateful comments are now coming to terms with themselves and becoming (non-asshole) members of ec and then out gay people. It's also great how acceptance of GLBT people has grown in the last few years.
I like to skip right back to the earlier pages of posts, from years ago. It's really cool to see who's still around.
For those interested, Paul wrote a nice article about the creation of EC on page 25 of Full Spectrum 2: http://www.fullspectrummagazine.com/downloads/
Lmao! I laughed so hard at that jesus dude. Lol - the fuckheads of the world really do shine through on the internet *giggles*
"By reading this message, you will all die horrible deaths due to the fact that you are not normal" We will all die horrible deaths because we are not normal, just because we have read this message...? So what happens if we don't read it? Trolls didn't have any better grammar or sentence structure then as they do now...
