What kind of weirdo puts pineapple on Pizza?

My favorite kind of pizza is Hawaiian, which is basically ham and pineapple and I love it to be honest.

 

I always used to, when I ate pizza. It was the best part.

Lately I've become much more adventurous in the types of food I'm willing to try. I tried escargot and it was awesome. Pineapple on pizza however? Never going to happen.

 

Add mushrooms to that and you have an amazing trio there; I love Hawaiian pizza.

 

I sense a little bias in the poll...

 

It's a pretty ridiculous to suggest pineapple should never been joined together with pizza just from one's bizarre taste buds.

Unsurprisingly, all the local pizza shops around here regularly accept orders of pineapple as a topping for pizza. I did just that today.

 

Although I'm not a huge fan of pineapples, I do agree with it on a pizza. Of course it does depend tremendously on what else is on it, i.e. you can't combine jalapenos with pineapple, but I don't see why not use it on a pizza at all.

After all, it's preference, we can't argue with that.

 

Pineapple is a delicious fruit. That said, putting it on pizza is a crime against nature. It's worse than the "bacon on ice cream" thing that Burger King tried.

Sounds weird to me. But I guess I wouldn't be totally against trying it, just once...

 

Pizza and in some cases be enhanced by having pineapple on it. It's not always appropriate, but, it's not always inappropriate.

I bet you're one of those weirdos who likes to ruin your latte by having whipped cream on it, right?

Fast food joints probably can't pull off bacon ice cream, whereas ice cream joints in California can do so and make it taste good, from what I've seen on Food Network (forgot the show's name).

I have yet to taste it myself, but I'd imagine it would be better than what Burger King can conjure, lol.

As for Hawaiian pizza, I've tried it once and it was alright. I didn't spit it out or anything. But not something I would go out of my way to eat again, as there are better pizza combinations out there...

 

Mmmm pineapple pizza..

I prefer it with pepperoni instead of Canadian bacon (ham). It gives it that perfect combination of spicy and sweet.

I love pineapple and ham or Canadian bacon on Pizza. The sweet/sour taste of the pineapple contrast nicely with the saltiness of the ham, and make a nice compliment to the acidity of the sauce.

It's not my typical pizza, but they are indeed wonderful toppings, and should I become dictator, then ALL will be forced to eat these pineapple pizzas! (tofu-ham available upon request)

 

Seeing as to how I dont like pineapple to begin with putting it on a pizza would ruin pizza forever for me.

 

I love Hawaiian pizza and pineapple tastes great on it. I like it. Your point is?
