I've ordered TONNES of new clothes for Christmas and can't wait to have a complete overhaul of my wardrobe. My only concern is that I've ordered a lot of waistcoats and my question is: Can you wear them casually? And I'd also like to ask is there a limit to what types of clothes you can wear casually everyday or can anything count as casual?
Most items can be worn casually. Formal you're starting to look at ties and jackets although even jackets can be done casual. It depends on how you pair them... Jeans, t-shirt, v-neck... Jeans with dress shirt, a tie, no tie... You can literally mix and match to create your own causal style... The minute you go traditional, i.e. Dress pants, shirt and jacket it becomes more formal.
I would say the formality of a piece of clothing is determined by how you wear it, rather than what it is. Anything can be casual, and probably anything can be formal, just depending on how you wear it
