    Yes.
The same way misandry and misogyny both exist. Homophobia and heterophobia both exist. So does cisphobia and transphobia. If it exists, someone hates it.

It depends on the meaning of heterophobia.

If you use it more objectively, then yes of course it exists. There are gay people just as hateful to straights in the world.

If you use it to compare to homophobia, obviously it's not the same because gay people don't have the power to take hetero rights away.

    Purely semantically, it exists.

As a social reality with systematic oppression, personal devaluation and a social bias towards queer people at heterosexuals' expense, of course it doesn't.

not in any meaningful way. a gay person may be prejudice against heterosexual people but they lack the institutional power to oppress them in the way heterosexual people who are homophobic do.

so if you want to call a gay person being prejudice against heterosexual people heterophobia, sure, it exists, but it isn't a meaningful term.

An aboriginal gave me a dirty look when I said they're just culturally underdeveloped. Save white Australians from reverse racism!

    #apologywasnotnecessary*

*for the wholesale massacre of up to a million, the deliberate destruction of culture, the kidnapping of children, literal dehumanisation and continuing police abuse, poorer quality of education for them and even separate laws governing where, when and how they may drink in certain aboriginal-majority regions.

Yes, of course exists. There are people who are prejudiced against and hateful towards straight people.

However, I agree with Aussie and Leviathan in that it doesn't exist in any meaningful way. There is no system of heterophobia, people are not rejected by their families for being straight nor do straight people encounter hardships in life due to heterophobia. It's more or less a petty spiteful attitude that some LGBT people seem to have, but doesn't have much real world effect.

I'm definitely heterophobic, in that I'm scared to death of cisgender heterosexuals...

I mean, you never know which ones are going to be respectful and which ones are going to try to kill, rape, or abuse you.

This, it only exists as personal emotions, not institutionalized hatred.

I don't think that's heterophobic , I think like if you said you wished all of them died that would be heterophobic .

If you use a stereotype about homosexuality its homophobic.
If you use a stereotype about heterosexuality, why would it not be heterophobic?

Also, does anyone else think -phobia is dumb. Its rarely an issue of fear.

I make heterophobic jokes sometimes... Not sure if that counts.

"Oh my god, that straight couple at the supermarket are holding hands... stop rubbing your sexuality in my face!"
