So I keep hearing so much about the kinsey scale. So I took the test and was a 2. But honestly I feel like I am somewhere between 2 and 3 and closer to 3. I don't think the scale is completely accurate. Who else feels that the Kinsey Scale doesn't fully accurately place your sexuality? Or who feels as if it does accurately place your sexuality?

you're the person who knows your sexuality best, not the kinsey scale. i scored 6, which is accurate. and i mean if you consider yourself between 2 and 3 with scoring a 2, i'd say it has some accuracy to it. don't let a test define you though.

I don't really like the test, I think it's better to just place yourself on it based on your gender preferences, kind of as a way to identify. It's still pretty simplistic, obviously, you can't just sum up sexual orientation on a scale, but it does its job.

personally as ace I hate the kinsey scale and how it is thrown around as I'd rather not be erased.

I'm a 5.. I guess its accurate although I think the sliver of supposed attraction to men isnt blatantly sexual. Ive fully admitted that I think plenty of guys are hot, but I'd never have relations with them

The test gives me a 4 or 5 because I usually answer to indifference or disinterest toward some of the sexual questions toward women (As I am more to the gray-sexual area these days), though I don't show anything geared toward men either.

In reality, I'd be a 6 so I find it ridiculous. I don't have to be a casual horndog to be an 'exclusive homosexual'.

Just took one and got a 6, which makes sense.

The Kinsey Scale is a scale...it isn't right or wrong...it just associates numbers with meanings.

It sounds like (maybe) the test you took was wrong. Many tests are flawed, and I'd have to say that scoring 2 when you feel you're between 2 and 3 is probably a pretty accurate score.

But as at least one other has said, you know your sexuality best: pick the number on the scale that you most identify with. Again, there's nothing wrong with the scale...it's the test that could use some fine-tuning.

I think it marks me good as a six but I don't think the kinsey scale is accurate at all it just judges sexuality from heterosexual to homosexual which kinda leaves everything else out .I think it's silly to just base your sexuality on numbers .

I usually get a 3, which I don't feel is perfectly accurate. I think it's up to the person to define their sexuality, not a test. Plus, like the others are saying, it doesn't really take into account people who are on the aro/ace spectrum.

I place myself on it manually. I was a 5, got down to a 4 and now I'm a 3... I'll probably go back up again, and then go down. My sexually is fluid as fuck xD

Mine ended up a 4/6. Which was probably fairly accurate. It's fairly unlikely I'd do anything with a female though.

I just took a look at the test's questions and it doesn't seem thorough enough to me. Plus, I'm not sure how my ace-ness would factor into the test.

That is what I am thinking. It just does not seem thorough enough to be quite accurate. Somewhat accurate, yes. Completely accurate? I doubt it.
