On the whole they are okay, although when I came out to my sister the first thing she said was "Do you mind if I tell people?" -_- it wasn't quite the caring response I had hoped for...

Other than that I have been mostly free of invasive and awkward questions but that is likely due to me locking myself away in my room whenever there is more than about 6 people in the house

You'd have to pay me to come out to my extended family. My mom already told my grandma, whom I now avoid like the plague, and step-cousin is a narcissist with a car and a girlfriend. Why give him another reason why he's superior to me?

My dad asked me if I'd watched gay porn.

That was slightly insensitive and rather invasive.

LMAO! I would've been like "no dad. I watch a ton of straight porn because I'm gay. That's what us gay guys do. Love watching that vajay vajay!"

You've got to imagine it from the point of view of a 14 year old, who really does not want to tell her father anything about any of her... Erm... Habits. (That doesn't mean what you think it means)

My family doesn't know about my bisexuality besides my mother, but there was a sort of slip in which my uncle and aunt supposedly found out but I'm not entirely sure my mother didn't just say that to yank my chain. FWIW, I don't really care who knows or what they think about it, but my mother does, and quite honestly it's not anybody's business but my own.

My parents once told me that gay people were fine, but bisexuals were ungodly because they couldn't settle down, and sex should be within the confines of marriage. They've been... reeducated since.

Ah, that's true. At 14, I wouldn't have said a word. I would've been too embarrassed and scared. I was also DEEEEEPPPLLLYYYY closeted back then.

Mostly just the stupid questions I'm sure most girls who come out get.

-so when you want to have a baby do you just pick a random guy and have sex with him?

-are you sure it's not just a phase?

    Mom:

"I'm worried that you'll get AIDS."

"I don't like that you are the youngest guy at your [gay/bi] men's group."

As bad as she is, my dad is worse. Pattern is the same: Bible arguments, denial of LGBT discrimination, then "agree to disagree." Like he is done talking about it. He knows everything about a culture he has never even experienced.

Thankfully, everyone else has been supportive.

"Are you sure it's not just a phase?"

"You realize that you have boobs right? So that means you can't be guy."

    "Is this just for attention?"

One of the comments on that article said someone was asked "does it hurt?" Wow. If someone asked me that, I'd probably slap them in the face :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Anyway, I kind of remember my parents saying something about gay clubs or bars and I'm like "I'm not into that, I'm 19! And leave me alone lol"

My mom wanted to know why some lesbians date women who look and dress like men.

I've totally had that one asked by ALL members of my immediate family -_-. "Which one are you? The man or the women in the relationship?"

MFW they asked that question: >_<
