What do/did you call your grandparents?
And if you were a grandparent what would you like to be called?

    Mama and Papa.

I don't wanna live long enough to be a grandparent, or have children so irresponsible that they would make me a premature grandfather for that matter.

Mummo and Vaari. Both of my paternal grandparents prefer that I speak Finnish to them.

I call my maternal grandmother Grandma or, more rarely, Nana. I don't really speak to my maternal grandfather.

And I'd generally prefer to have a standard term like "grandpapa" or something. It doesn't really matter what the title would be, as long as they'd say it in a language I understand.

    is very confusing!

I call my grandma "ma", which is very odd to most people. The whole family calls her that. She's a mother figure for everyone. My siblings had a different mother they didn't know, so that's why they call her "ma". They never had anyone else to, Until my mom married my dad. Then they had a stepmom. But, they still called her ma.

    Grandpa

When I was younger I called my maternal grandmother "grammy". She was the grandparent I saw much more often than the others.

I'm not sure what I'd like to be called--just not "old coot" :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I called both my grandfathers Grandpa, while my paternal grandmother was Grandma and maternal was Nanny.

If I actually get to have kids and then grand kids, I just wouldn't want to be called grandma. Makes me think of my mom, which I'm sure would be a depressing nostalgia trip to older!me.

All but one of them is dead, but they were known as follows, my dad's parents were/are Grandpa Bill (passed away) and Grandma Nita (alive, also known simply as Grandma :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:), my mom's parents were Big Daddy and Grammie!

Personally I'd like to be called Nene or something cute that wouldn't make me feel too old xD

Also my parents are known to my siblings kids as Nana and Grandpa xP

On my dad's side, Nanny and Grandad. On my mom's its Granny and Farfar. That's a Swedish term but it JUST occurred to me that I've been using the wrong one all these years (hey, not my fault). Farfar actually means father's father; technically I believe he should be Morfar. Regardless, I always shorten it to Faf and my brother and cousins all do the same.

I'm going to have to confront my parents on this and figure out what the hell happened.

On my Mother's side, Nanny and Grampy.
On my Father's side, Nanny and Karl. Karl wasn't blood related. So we just called him by name. Although he was certainly no less close the a "real" grandfather would have been.

What would I wanna be called? No idea. I'm not thinking that far ahead, lol. I'm not even sure if it's gonna happen.

Grandma, Grandpa, Granny and Evil Bastard (Granddad).

I don't plan on kids, but if somehow I end up with kids or grandkids, they can call me Alexander.

I call my maternal grandmother Grandma and I called my maternal grandfather Granddad.

My paternal grandfather died when I was really young, I suppose I'd have called him Thakur-da, as I call my paternal grandmother Thakur-ma. I also call her "evil lady" but that's just in my mind.

I call them mom and dad since my parents bailed when I was a baby. Don't know the maternal side of the family.

Both grandfathers died before I was old enough to remember them. Grandmothers were both Nana. My six grandkids all refer to me with various names that are all terms of endearment. They are all the apples of my eye and experts at getting me to do things for them. Strong loving families are man's greatest treasure.
