Let's say something around 5 years, give or take a year or two. I did put "other" as coming out was never an issue for me when it came to all, but my parents. And to them i came out few weeks ago, so... yeah. Basically, you could say that I was in the closet just for them.

I'm still not out to everyone, since I do not go telling everyone or wear things that say "I'm gay!" Some people say my voice is gay so maybe that gives it away? If someone does ask, I will say I am gay (unless they are going to hurt me if I am or something!). However, there are some people that I don't necessarily want to know, such as teachers, where it may subconsciously or consciously affect how they grade me (especially for writing classes which are fairly subjective imo). Also, when I go out with guys I am probably much more reserved in public displays of affection (even holding hands) than I would be with a woman. It is partly because I'm uncomfortable about people being judgmental but also because I don't like attention, even if its positive attention. You don't blend in as a gay couple in a straight world, not matter how accepting. Even if people think its great! I believe I am completely fine with being gay, though.

TLDR: I'm out I would say but not a completely out and proud gay person. It probably took 2-3 years to go from telling my mom, to my dad, to my brothers, to my family and friends.

I'm not out yet because no one will believe me if I did. Although I have a plan to come out and that's going to happen in a month.

The answer to this really depends on how you define 'everyone'. I was out to pretty much all of my friends and family within a year, mostly within a month. But since then I've met other people, moved, changed jobs a few times. etc. In each case, I've come out again to new people. So, in a sense, my coming out process has never ended.

Only out to closest family and friends. Will tell the rest of the family eventually and don't really discuss my personal life with people outside that circle, so they will likely only find out if I am dating a girl and bring her to a social event that they are attending.

Lasted one month. I came out to my two best friends first, then to my parents--after that I changed my preference on Facebook and stopped lying about my sexuality. I didn't go around telling everyone willy nilly, but from then on, I only told the truth about it when asked.

It was LESS THAN A YEAR I didn't see that option, it took me far less than a year, about five months
I'm out to those who ask, but at this point it's a little over 115 people

Still ongoing. The first person I ever came out to was my therapist. That was in early 2013. Now, things have accelerated, but I still have a bunch of friends and family members who don't know.

Ok. I came out to my Mom and my best friend within two weeks of figuring out I was gay. It would have been irritating if they had taken it badly, but I already knew I could handle that (had handled much worse before then). My housemates presented a potential tactical issue and had made homophobic statements on occasion, so they were one of the last I came out to (but they were very supportive - and apologetic - when I came out to them). Otherwise, I didn't much care about what anyone else thought.

All in all and for a mix of reasons, let's call it a year or a bit less.

Until people stop assuming that I'm straight, there's no end to it.
